Heaven Bound

   A baby at eight weeks

“Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it along the reeds along the bank of the Nile. His sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him.” Exodus 2:1-4

My daughter, the one I often refer to as Seven Stars had a dream she shared with me this morning. I found it quite fascinating and wanted to share it with you. After discussing it at length we determined that it most likely had to do with the rapture; the timing to be specific. So lets take a look and see.

The Dream –

In her dream, she was holding up her index finger which appeared to have a small bean resting on its tip. But on closer observation she could see it was not a bean at all but a tiny fetus which she identified by the protruding of its tiny budding limbs. She wasn’t sure at first if the tiny baby was alive or dead as it was just laying there resting on the tip of her finger. Suddenly, she felt a pulse. Just one very strong pulse but it was enough to tell her that the baby was not dead but was indeed alive. She then heard these two words – very clearly – eight weeks.

End of Dream

Wow, interesting! A tiny fetus and the words eight weeks. So, curious – but what could it possibly mean?  She was fairly certain that the fetus in her dream was indeed a baby eight weeks along in development but decided to check anyway and she was right.  The tiny baby she saw matched the on-line photos of an eight week old fetus as you can see in the photo above.

Feasts of Trumpets rapture – or something else?

Many of us are now looking for a Feast of Trumpets rapture on September 18/19 of this year. But if we are not raptured at that time, then what? I know that I for one will be greatly disappointed. But if our catching away – our blessed hope does not occur on that date – is it possible that God is sending us encouragement to wait just a a little bit longer?

So taking the words eight weeks and applying them to the date of the dream we come up with two dates. Going backward from today August 26 we come to July 1. Going forward from today August 26 we come to October 21. On the Hebrew calendar July 1 would be Tammuz 9 and October 21 would be Chesvan 3. Both interesting dates. Eight weeks from today the fetus conceived on July 1 would be 16 weeks gestation or four months.

So looking at the numbers again. From July 1 to August 26 is eight weeks. From August 26 to October 21 is eight weeks. If the rapture does not happen on the Feast of Trumpets we have the hope of waiting another 33 days to reach October 21 where like Moses who was  going in to our fourth month when he entered the ark – likewise would we. Remembering the basket he was placed in was a type of ark.

It’s interesting that when I looked up the number 33 I found this –

*”The meaning of the number 33 is connected to certain promises made by God.  The 33rd time Noah’s name is used in scripture is when God makes a special covenant or promise with him. The eternal promises not to destroy the world again with a flood and seals his pledge with the sign of the rainbow.” 

Snatched away –

As born-again believers, we believe we will soon be caught up to heaven, the bridegroom coming for his bride. But we are also symbolized at times such as Revelation chapter 12 as a child. Consider this:

“…. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. ” Revelation 12: 4-6

It seems to me that the Church is barely visible in these troubled times. It looks to be helpless (without even limbs) and on observation it is not even clear whether this tiny child is living or dead. But the dragon knows full well the child is alive and is waiting to devour it as soon as it is born (sometime around next Passover – based on the July 1 conception date) but God has something else in mind and snatches the child up to the throne in the fourth month  – pre-empting the devils plans – much like Moses did Pharaoh when he was placed in to the ark after being hidden for three months.

We live in exciting times and many of us are feeling that our departure is close. God is good and whether the many dreams people are having turn out exactly as we think they might we are still encouraged. We study, we pray, we listen for the Holy Spirit to guide us and we wait.

We are currently in the month of Elul during which it is customary to read Psalm 27 daily. I will end with the last verse from this Psalm.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” Psalm 27:14

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6
