Heaven Bound

“So God created man in his own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” Genesis 1:27

Remember when life was much more simple? When blue meant boy and pink meant girl. Not that my youngest daughter with her big blue eyes didn’t look just as pretty in a blue dress as she did a pink. But, you know what I mean. It was pretty much standard. Blue for boys, pink for girls. Nothing hard about that.

Not so much today. What used to be simple is now very, very complicated. Sure, for the last few thousand years or so it may have worked to take a peak inside the diaper if you weren’t sure if that cutie pie with the tousled curls was a girl or a boy, but you sure can’t count on that today. Today physical anatomy has little today with ones sexual identity. It’s how one feels that counts. Today you may feel like a boy and tomorrow, a girl ….. and, some days a little bit of both!”  And while the older ones among us may find that quite laughable be sure the younger generation does not as they are currently being indoctrinated in to this nonsense at a pace that can only be described as feverish.

So, what gives? Why this sudden push to radically change the culture? That’s a good question and one that deserves some serious thought.

Let me start off by saying that this is not about hate. It really (in my opinion) has less to do with the very small number of the population that is actually transgender and more to do with those who have suddenly found an effective tool for advancing a much deeper and darker agenda. For in all reality transgenders  have probably been using the bathroom of their choice all along with no one really noticing or caring.

Suddenly, though it’s being made into a huge issue and one that must be addressed from the highest level of government immediately and without delay which should cause any thinking person to ask themselves why. For if transgenderism was really the issue it would be simple enough to provide a family or unisex restroom (which already exist in many places of business) instead of opening up restrooms to the opposite sex  creating the opportunity for potential abuse. But they really don’t care which is why this argument is falling on deaf ears. For it has nothing to do with restrooms or the comfort of transgenders. What it does is provide a weapon to use against those who would oppose their agenda ….  and a very effective weapon it is indeed.

REBELLION, the final stage.

We live in a time when human history as we know it is rapidly coming to a close. And the spiritual war (of which we are a part) is intensifying beyond what most of us could have ever imagined. The enemy has launched a “no-holds barred” attack against the Creator by leading the most prized of his creation (humanity) in to open rebellion against him. Make no mistake about it – at its most fundamental this is an attack against God. Which is why no argument to the contrary will persuade them. For they are determined to once and for all throw off what they see as fetters or chains.  No longer will they allow themselves to be defined by what they perceive to be an archaic view of sexuality based on birth anatomy or an outdated religious system – and, anyone (Christians) or anything (Bible) that says otherwise will absolutely, positively not be tolerated.  Which is why, (like Nazi Germany) they will  ultimately seek a final solution to the problem –  of which demonizing and marginalizing Christians is just the first step. For in order to silence God, they must first silence us. Or so they think.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is not a winnable war. At least not for now. When Jesus comes it will all be settled, so take heart. But, until then, we can expect more of the same and worse. And although that sounds extremely grim be assured that Jesus is using the situation for his greater glory and for the awakening of the luke-warm Laodicean Church of which we are presently a part.

In the Meantime

How then should we live?  Good question. First of all, seek the counsel of the Holy Spirit. How God leads me may not be how God leads you. Shop at Target, not shop at Target???? For me, I choose not to. Not because of transgenders, but because of the heavy hand of government and the potential for abuse businesses like Target set us up for. Talk to people about this issue rationally and with love. Pray that God will exercise mercy on a generation that has rejected him. But, above all stand firm in what you believe. And, then again – when all is said and done – stand.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

This is the core of rebellion.  A purposeful change of the set times and laws as established by God particularly in regard to male and female – the unique union of which produces not only off-spring but the joining of two to become one.

We live in a unique period of history.  There are those who say that time goes on as it always has and that nothing is going to change – (2 Peter 3:4).  By this they assume (by the very nature of natural law) that everything will continue as it always has – Yet, at the same time they are working feverishly to abolish it.
