Cold Shoulder Consequences

Image result for blizzard

It’s been snowing and snowing and snowing here! No surprise as it has been snowing just about everywhere in the last few days. In fact, in what is reported to be a very rare occurrence, it has been snowing in all 50 states including Hawaii over the past six days. Couldn’t have anything to do with Washington giving Netanyahu the “cold shoulder” in advance of his March 3 visit, could it? No, I didn’t think so. At least that is what some might say.

It has been well documented by those who study such things that national disasters often coincide with a nation’s policy towards Israel and while some of the disasters are limited to specific regions of the country, I find it interesting this particular one is widespread throughout all 50 states. A warning perhaps of the wide-spread consequences of rejecting the prime ministers appeal on his visit of March 3.

The importance of this visit and its timing cannot be emphasized enough as the prime minister will be addressing congress on the eve of Purim. Amazing, when you think of the similarities between Esther going before the King in Persia on behalf of her people and the Prime Minister appearing before “the king” on behalf of his people because of Persia (Iran).  His visit  coming just 17 days before the solar eclipse of March 20, which is also, Nisan 1, the first day on the Jewish religious calendar and one month before Passover and the third blood moon on April 3.

I am praying for and would like to think that our country and its leadership will do the right thing in heeding the Prime Ministers message but, given the solar eclipse and the blood moon that follows, it is not likely to be the case.

17 in the Bible is a number that denotes victory. And, be assured God will have the victory over his enemies with or without our help. And, if the frosty week preceding his visit is not warning enough, by the time 30 days is up, we may be wishing for more than warm temperatures … for the lesson of Purim is this –

the gallows prepared for Mordecai became the gallows on which Haman was hanged.

A lesson we would do well to keep in mind.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall proper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy

  1. I didn’t know it has been snowing in all 50 states. I like the way you are able to see and link and put things together. Thank you for posting this. Hope you are well.

[Thank you so much Karen! Here’s the link to the story about the snow.

I just looked at the date on the story a little closer and its Feb 13 – but, don’t think that changes the implications much – it’s been snowing for about two weeks now – the east coast getting the brunt of it. Keep you’re eyes on the skies – much more to come! Blessing in Yeshua! C]

    • Thanks for the link, I will look into it, and I agree the implications are the same.
      Watching and Waiting!

  2. Cindy, you’re insight is amazing. God Bless you and I hope your are well; may the Lord bless you.

[ Thank you, Melody! You’re always such a great encourager! May God bless you too! C]

  3. With all due respect, ridiculous superstition. What is in the Middle East is the prophesied UN Antichrist Israel. It is not an Israel of God… is the counterfeit replacement for the body of Christ… and Christians are bowing down to antichrist becoming increasingly superstitious… as they surrender their crown to false Jews (Revelation 3). And think they will “rapture”. Strong delusion of antichrist. Antichrist takes over… and they call believing in Jesus Christ and believing that we are His holy nation and ZION, the one Israel of God by grace through faith of all times and ages, “replacement theology”. It’s the Bible. Truly strong delusion. Praying for you, Cindy! Forget the lucky rabbits foot of antichrist UN Israel. We the bride of Christ… the bride of the King of Israel (whose Kingdom He said was not natural visible Israel… remember)… are Israel by marriage. Praying for you!

[Hi Laura, Thanks for writing. I beg to differ of course and will let the evidence speak for itself. Israel is not the church and the church is not Israel. I stand by Genesis 12:3 – “I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee”. In Jesus own words (regarding Israel) he told them, “I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord'”. After the rapture, God’s focus returns to Israel, who by the end of the tribulation, will receive the one they rejected and pierced as recorded in Zechariah and as Paul, says in the book of Romans, “and, so shall all Israel be saved”. I don’t expect to convince you with two or three lines but, I know what the Bible teaches and I stand by it. Thanks for writing and expressing your viewpoint. Cindy]

  4. Thank you for posting Laura Lee’s comment. I respectfully agree with her on that Cindy. The “church” mentioned in the gospels was grafted into those who were Jews, who became like Saul and were converted. He became the Apostle Paul and disclosed at great length the details of the two becoming one.
Christ Himself revealed that the old had passed away. I do believe that Christ has still yet to bring some out of that system. Just like He is doing with this modern system that calls itself Christianity.

    Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

    • I also would like to thank you for posting Laura Lee’s comment. I have recently been leaning more to this way of seeing Scripture myself. Here’s a good article that may help shed more light on this subject:

      • Hi Jayna, I have to say that I unequivocally disagree with LauraLee’s position but, will post opposing view points as long as they are presented respectfully. Without a doubt God’s covenant and promises to Israel still stand in spite of their current state of unbelief. As a believer, it is given to me to love what God loves and to hate what God hates. Standing with Israel in no way suggests that they are perfect or always make the right decisions. There are numerous scriptures which confirm God’s love and ever-lasting covenant with Israel- too many to mention here. As always, I will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the soon salvation of the people he loves so dearly. Cindy

  5. thanks cindy for standing by israel. i agree with all the points you made from the Word of God. the church is the bride of Christ and israel is God’s adulterous wife whose relationship with Him awaits restoration as the book of Hosea portrays for us. they are not replaced. they have a future and a hope and those who will be saved among them will be those who will look on Him who was pierced…wounded in the house of His friends….to refine them as silver…zech 12:10 and 13:6 and 13:9. God never wrote off the jewish people and feel sad that some would believe God would go back on His Word to them. i enjoy your posts. God bless you!

[Thank you Andre, I couldn’t have said it better myself! Blessings in Yeshua! C]

    • After reading your post on the Israeli prime ministers visit I decided to watch it on C SPAN. The one overall theme I come away with is defiance. Instead of relying on God for their protection they are looking to man and kings of this world. A grave mistake. Fighting Satan with the weapons of man will prove elusive. It reminds me of when Christ came and the Jewish people were looking for a King to lead them in battle instead of a King to lead them into truth and eternal life. May many come to Jesus before it is too late especially the Jewish people.

[I agree carl, I wish they were relying on the Lord too. Sadly, it will take the tribulation period also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble in order for that to happen. In the meantime, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of individual Jewish people. Blessings and peace in the name of Jesus! C]

      • That is my point about who Israel really is Carl. Are they just a bunch of people who trace their actual lineage back to Jacob? Or as the Word say’s includes those grafted in?
And the main point is just as you observed, not relying on God is the main disqualifying act.
I have prayed for the Prime Minister to take a stand such as Jehoshaphat did.
2 Chronicles 20:1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,

6 And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

        10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

        14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;

15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.

19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

The Lord God delivers, most in this modern Israel will never believe yet some will, pray for them and also their enemies.

  6. Hello there Cindy!

Almost six months ago, Carlos Montana stopped posting in his “Chozeh & Nabiy” blog.

He said that he was starting a brand new blog, and, I gave him my e-mail address to be put on the list of people that Carlos would contact when he started up his new blog.

However, it has been almost six months now, and, **I have not heard anything at all back from Carlos.**

Cindy, do you know if Carlos HAS started up his new blog, and, if he has started it up, could you give me the link to his new blog.

    Thank you!

[Hi Steve, thank you for inquiring about Carlos. No, I have not heard anything from his in quite a while. As far as I know he is not writing at this time. I have his personal e-mail and just sent him a note. I will let you know what I find out. I’m hoping he is well. I miss his writing too. He is a gifted researcher and writer and one that I have missed very much also. C]

    • Yes, Cindy, *DO* please let me know what Carlos tells you about the current state of his writings!

      Thank you!

      • Cindy, have you heard anything back from Carlos?

      • Hi Steve, I apologize for not getting back with you sooner, I have not heard back from Carlos which really concerns me as he would almost always respond promptly to my e-mails. I’m not sure I know of any other way of contacting him. Please keep him in prayer and I will let you know ASAP if I find out anything. Cindy

      • Hi Steve, good news! I heard from Carlos today and he is doing fine. He has taken a hiatus from writing for unspecified reasons but has been working on a new blog that he will launch mid-April or early May. So we have that to look forward to. I know you are as excited as I am. Cindy
