On February 20, 2012, William Frederick of End Times Forecaster had a dream very similar to the one I had on February 20, 2008. Four years apart to the day, both dreams seem to indicate a cataclysmic event (most likely nuclear) sometime in the future for the Hawaiian islands. As a current resident of the island of Oahu, I found this to be sobering news, all the more troubling as it came from the “mouths” of not one, but, two witnesses – one, of which, was me!
As I’ve thought and prayed over this in the last few days, I’ve wondered two things – “why me, Lord? And, why Hawaii?”
And, while I may not be able to give a definitive answer to either of these questions, I can share with you the little bit of insight that I believe God has been showing me as a result of both of these dreams. But, before we begin, you will first need to read these two excellent posts by William Frederick, in which, he shares his own special analysis, insight and research in to what he sees as the possible meaning for both of these dreams.

Echoes of Paradise Lost – Part I
Posted in Uncategorized
2 Timothy 1:6Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Cindy,
While I do believe that our Lord gives visions and dreams, the enemy is allowed to impact our mind as well. I would say to you that working to “predict” or guess what “might” happen with just a dream is likely to create more problems than it solves. Dreams are NOT authoritative, the Word of God is authoritative. We are not to be moved by fear, and your words of sobering or troubling seem rooted in that. In a general sense you are right calamity is coming for those who are not in Christ. They have Jonah and the Prophets as a sign. Harold Camping went down that road. I have not seen one account in my observations over the last 150 years that have started out that way, but did in some way bring discredit to the Lord. May it please God to give you courage and resolve to live for Him and Him alone. Blessings to you.
[Thank you, Jeff for writing! I agree 100% that only the word of God is authoratative. But, as you will read in both Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17, God has promised that in these last days, he would pour out his Spirit on all people … “your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams”. I would like to make it clear, I am not predicting anything. I am simply sharing what was shown to me in a dream – a dream which, coincides four years to the day with William Frederick, I think that could be significant- but, truly only God knows. I believe, as William does, that these events can be averted by repentance and prayer. Both themes, I hope to address in my next writing. And, while God does not give us a spirit of fear, he does give us solemn warning, as it says in Hebrews 10:31, “it is a fearful thing to fall in to the hands of the living God”. (Hebrews 10:31). And, while, I do not fear for myself, as I know my home is firmly established in heaven by the blood of Jesus Christ, I do fear for the many, who are not yet saved here in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. If what I have shared and what William has shared will move anyone one towards Jesus Christ, than I shall be satisfied. Many blessings in Christ, C]

I would first say to Jeff that I think you may be missing the blessings of Joel 2:28 as God is using dreams and visions for His glory in these final days. I can attest to that by reports from friends from Muslim countries of people who never heard of the Biblical Jesus, but met Him in a dream and knew immediately Who He was.
I have read your entries today, Cindy, including following a number of links on the William Frederick site, and find it truly providential how God is speaking through those with eyes to see and ears to hear and the boldness to share even the most absurd sounding revelations.
Two particular things struck me: 1) It isn’t too often anymore that we hear about OKC, but on the Intel Hub site this morning, here was this entry: Occupy OKC Filmmaker Lands on “No-Fly List” (You may have to cut and paste this or go directly to the Intel Hub site to read it). 2) I also have wondered at the intrigue of our President and his family with Hawaii. And Honolulu especially. No other President in our history has visited there so often.
I have no idea of the connection of these two items above to the dreams you speak of Cindy, but I have a sense that they are connected.
More than ever these are times to “bless Israel” and keep looking up, for our redemption is very near.
Thank you Cindy, for being God’s messenger.
[Thank you Martha, I do appreciate you writing and thank you especially for your encouragement! I think you are right, there are many connections that most of us are unaware of and by God’s grace, he gives us the bits and pieces that we need, just as we need them for accomplishing his purposes. I’ve been thinking alot about this dream and as you will see, it becomes quite personal for me. God loves these islands and the people of Hawaii greatly (just as he loves all people) and, is jealous for the good work that began here with the advent of the missionaries, who first brought the good news of the gospel here so many years ago -(more on this, in parts two and three). Grace and blessings in Christ Jesus, Martha and thanks again for writing. C]

I think Jeff was referring to this: http://74.220.207.109/~helperso/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Chart.gif
[Hi Carvo, thanks for writing. If I understand the chart correctly, it seperates, the gifts of prophecy to before and after the age of grace. I am not sure that I would agree with that as Romans 12:6 and I Corinthians 13:2 both speak about the gift of prophecy. Just for the record, I will re-iterate here once again, I do not consider myself a prophet in any sense of the word, a messenger of warning, perhaps, but, not a prophet. Blessings in Christ Jesus! C]

Hi Cindy – should’ve stated more than just the chart.
1 Cor 13:9 states: “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.”
The adversary has thousands of years of practice of deceiving humans and that’s what I meant about Jeff’s concern – that we can be easily fooled – as you know and state!
The concern comes from the fact that: there are many who are relying ‘more’ on their dreams than the solid word of Scripture (rightly dividing the Word), which is what God has for us today. Mixing what God had for the Jews before Paul’s Gospel with God’s appointed Age of Grace can cause confusion and problems … as you note too.
With our confidence in Him, wearing His armor and being alert to the schemes and plots of the adversary and his workers keeps us grounded – that’s all I meant by the submitting the chart.
God’s Agape as we continue on His path!

Cindy,
I do believe that the intention that the Lord had in Romans 12:6 had a specific intention. Look at what this one resource, that uses the Word, say’s about prophecy.
http://www.gotquestions.org/gift-of-prophecy.html
Am I to understand that you are not open to examination of what is written by you on this site? I am not telling you what to understand, I am saying that what was being presented can be used to distract or derail some because of the readers ability to discern the truth from non-truth through experience. The Lord has called his people to walk by faith and not by sight/site.
The real question then becomes do we want are well intentioned words to become, in a twisted form, a tool in the enemies hand?

Just to add to Jeff’s concern and rightly dividing the word – the dispensation we live in today. Re: The Gifts

Can God still communicate to people through dreams today? Some would argue no, saying that since we have the complete Word of God, we have no need for dreams. I disagree; for scripture will be present during the end times and God has specifically told us that He will use dreams to communicate to His children during that time.
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams…And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come. (Acts 2:16–20)
So the argument that God will not communicate to us via dreams because we have scripture is not valid. I assert that God in the past, today, and in the future can and will at times communicate to us in dreams. The Bible records that many people, both saved and unsaved in the Old Testament and New, have had dreams in which God was trying to communicate to them. Pharaoh, the baker, the butler, Joseph, Nebuchadnezzar, Peter, and the list goes on, are examples of just a few. By way of caution, let me also say that no dream from God will contradict scripture.

The Word and spiritual gifts are not meant to be exclusive of each other as some would believe. Some say all that is needed is the Word and thus spiritual gifts have ceased to exist. Scripture makes no such claims in fact Paul declares:
Follow the way of love AND eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, ESPECIALLY PROPHECY. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. 1 Cor 14:1-3
The gift of prophecy serves to edify, yet some assert no more prophesying since “we live in another dispensation!” Really?
1 Corinthians 1:7-8 Therefore you do NOT LACK any SPIRITUAL GIFT as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the END, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These verses clearly indicate that spiritual gifts are present and not lacking, continuing up until the Second Coming of Christ.

BTW teaching and prophesying are not the same gift – they are listed separately and described differently in Scripture. For example Agabus in Acts 21 is referred to as a prophet – not a teacher. By the Spirit he foretells the future and warns Paul of his imprisonment should he go to Jerusalem. Clearly he is not “forth-telling” from the Word – he is foretelling.

This has gotten way out of hand. I never said that God doesn’t reveal to His people His intended will. What I said is that there are ” others ” that are seeking to attach to and work as well. And time will tell as to where some of this is coming from. I have watched well intentioned and meaning leaders in the “church”, who by the way be called “professionals” because of their training in a seminary, are outside because of their own words and actions that contradict the truth. What I am saying is that just because I belong to Christ does not mean that everything I say and do is automatically from Him. And the same is for everyone else.
People already have enough information to come to Christ. It is just as Abraham said to the rich man in Hades. They already have Jonah and the prophets, and even if someone were to return from the dead they still would not believe. Right up until the Ark was closed people had the opportunity to repent, they did not even though the coming disaster was forewarned. We are nearing the end of the church age and it is as in the day’s of Noah. Evil is piled high and increasing in speed. Using “blogland” as a place to prove that calamity is coming is something that has already been done. I have watched a lot of this and it looks like a lot of opportunity to miss, especially when we begin to set dates. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And as a brother aptly pointed out to me just recently this note from Paul.
1 Corinthians 2
1And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
There are many who are perishing, and some even know that. So, as one who has the solution, (Christ), Do I focus on the problem or the solution?
And if I become overly focused on the problem does it not consume my attention?
Does God still speak to His people, yes.
Does He still give men dreams, yes
Does every thought a mans has come from God, no.
Does every dream a man has come from God, no.
And Stu, on this side of it we know that Agabus was speaking in the Holy Spirit.
So, on March 22 2012 we shall see if those who predict calamity for Hawaii are speaking from the Holy Spirit or not won’t we.
[Hi Jeff, I think if I could sum up what you are saying, it would be found in 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, Do not believe every spirit but, test the spirits, to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world”. I think we are all in agreement with that, I know I am. I don’t know who has predicted a March 22 destruction for Hawaii – it certainly wasn’t me. I feel my dream may have been a warning, but, for when, I don’t know. With or without dreams, I think most of us feel certain, without repentance, America is due for judgment, which could certainly include Hawaii. May we continue to watch and pray. C]

Sorry for the confusion Jeff but my comments were addressed to your link and Carvo’s links to a chart and video that advocate for the cessationist viewpoint. If someone claims to have a prophetic word or dream we are instructed to examine and test it. To blindly accept every utterance as if from God would of course be foolhardy. I think the comments on this blog by and large serve that purpose as Cindy seeks input and critique as to the validity of what she believes she heard from God or whether it was from God in the first place which is consistent with 1 Thes 5:19-21:
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good,
As to your reference to the 3/22/12 date – perhaps I overlooked something but I don’t have any idea of what you’re referring to as I have not seen that date before.

stu,
That is one of the dates that are being presented on William Frederick’s site here:
http://endtimesforecaster.blogspot.com/2012/03/dreams-of-paradise-lost-hawaii.html#comment-form
Also included these in the worthy read area on his site as being earthquake warnings for 3/22/12:
[For the record, if you look at Williams post, he states that he is speculating in regard to these dates. Never does he present them as “thus saith the Lord.” C]

Hi Cindy,
Has the Lord given you any insight on why Hawaii would be the place of a nuclear holocaust?
blessings,
Donna
[Hi Donna, Thanks for writing! I don’t know that there is any one answer to that question, more than likely, it is multi-faceted, but, I do have some thoughts, which I will be sharing in part II. Hopefully, will have it ready to post by the weekend. Grace and blessings! C]
