An Invitation to Worship

He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul ….

The beautiful and unforgettable words to one of my favorite childhood hymns – fitting words, in honor of our beautiful Savior and King.

Brothers and sisters, we know that Jesus is coming soon and as we enter this special time of year, (the fall Feasts, beginning with the Feast of Trumpets this week), I would like to invite you to join with me in focusing solely on the worship of Jesus, our Master and King.

So, for the next few days, instead of our regular commentary, discussion, posting of links etc, I would like to suggest that instead, we share a favorite scripture, a prayer, a poem, a song – anything that is on our heart that glorifies the name of Jesus.

Let’s take time this week to let it be known  – Jesus, we adore you and eagerly await your soon return!

I have found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay;
He tells me every care on Him to roll.

He’s the Lily of the Valley, the bright and Morning Star, he’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul!

And, Indeed, he is!

Looking forward to sharing with all of you in a glorious time of worship! May it be a sweet, sweet sound, in his ears. Cindy

  3. What I liked about this painting and video is that as Jesus molds us we do not see what he is doing, nor often understand why. But one day very soon, He will flip us upside down and maybe inside out and we will just be blown away. Keep trusting in the Lord as the Potter molds the clay. Thank you, Jesus!

  4. Hope to see you soon.

    Best,

    Steve

    • Awesome!

  5. Psalm 73:26, My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Precious Jesus, thank you for allowing me to be part of this day. Thank you for your mercies that are new every day. Thank you for keeping me through the night. Thank you for your protection over me and my family. Thank you for your goodness and grace. Thank you for being my Lord and Savior; I exalt thee of Lord! You are wondrous, marvelous, perfect, all knowing, loving, merciful, forgiving, a friend forever, counselor, mighty, glorious! Lord we lift you up and praise your holiness, we magnify you Lord. We love you with all our hearts. Draw us closer today than where we were yesterday. Let our lives be totally and utterly committed to you. Take me Lord, and let me be a sacrifice for you. You are all deserving of all my praise. My heart overflows with gratitude for all you have done for me. I love you so much Lord. I know not what the future holds, but I know YOU hold it all together and YOU are in control. That gives me great comfort! I know whatever comes my way whether it be good or bad, I will praise you! Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me. I am excited for whatever it is you have for me. I try to think of each day as an adventure. All praise, glory and honor to you Lord.
Jeremiah 29:10, For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Psalm 27:1-2, The LORD is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Thank you Lord for giving us your WORD, to guide us each day!
Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will make your paths straight.

  6. Shalom Cindy,

Just wanted to share a video of your favorite hymn that I found at You Tube!

    Enjoy, and Maranatha!

    Love and Blessings,
    Helena

    Lily of the Valley Hymn:

    🙂

  8. LOL! okay then, I guess I just needed the link to embed the hymn video here. I’ll remember that for next time. God bless.

  9. That old Hinson song: “That I Could Still Go Free” has been in my spirit for weeks.

That I could still go free
What kind of Man would reach
Down His hand and do this for me
    Unworthy to live
    Not fit to kill
But a Man on a cross
    Put me in His will
And said that i could still go free.

  10. Beatiful song by the Gaithers – ‘There’s Something About That Name”

    Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There’s just something about that name
    Master, Savior, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
    Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms shall all pass away
But there’s something about that name.

BTW – lilyofthevalleybride is one of my emails!

    • Liz, that is one of the most beautiful songs in my memory. Remember as a child trying to mimic the motions of the sign language people as they “sang” this song with their hands and hearts.

    • Liz – This is my FAVORITE song and I find myself singing it almost every day. Thank you for reminding me again of it.

  11. Amen and amen dear Cindy!
It’s all about Jesus’ love, mercy and amazing grace towards us!

  12. Oops! The video should come up now… I think!

  13. Hi Cindy. May I say your comments on this forum are truly inspiring. May our heaveny Father continue to use you during the last days we live in through Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Amen.

By the way, speaking of the number 51, (See Psalm 51 Below for an inspiring reading bt David) the Great Pyramid itself is located at 51 degrees and 51 minutes, which ties in to the whole ‘Benben Stone’/Shem/Fallen Angels/Nephilim (from the previous post.) The Pyramid itself is a timepiece within itself. The inside of the Pyramid itself contains a set of dimensions a timeline as to what’s to come in the future. Wow, wow, wow was my mind when I read it. (a beginning to end time revelation not too many people know about). I can only conclude that the original Pyramid (from the begiinning of time was God sent. Something that the fallen angel lucifer wants to imitate. An example would be the pyramid on the back of the Dollar Bill and the all seeing eye of Horus (Apollion, lucifer as we christians would know). I have the web site somewhere but can’t find it at this moment. (will post it on your forum when found) Amazing to know what a GREAT HEAVENLY FATHER WE HAVE. I can’t wait to hold Jesus hand and thank him personally in heaven for his sacrifice on the cross for our sins. God Bless Cindy. May our lord continue useing you,

David realized what every believer seeking forgiveness must, that even though he had tragically wronged Bathsheba and Uriah, his ultimate crime was against God and His holy law (2 Samuel 11:27)

Psalm 51 (ESV) Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love;according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

  14. What a day it will be when:
    We Shall Behold Him

    I can’t wait!

    Kim

  15. Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Verse 7: Then the earth shook and trembled, the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

Verse 8: There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

Verse 9: He bowed the heavens also, and came down, and darkness was under his feet.

Verse 10: And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly, yes he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Verse 11: He made darkness his secret place: his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

Verse 12: At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

Verse 30: As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.

I would rather be a doorman in the temple of God than a King with a vast Kingdom and riches here on earth.

He is more precious than silver or gold. He is the pearl of great price that is worth giving up everything in this world for. Though I fail Him every day, in His great mercy He forgives. He loved us before we ever knew Him. He left a home of great power and honor to be born in a manger with the sheep and cows so that we as lowly men would be able to see and touch God in flesh. He never owned a home or had a bed of his own where he could lay His head. When I read the Bible and study on who He really was – how He lived – the patterns He gave us, I am left with wonderment as to how he could be the example He was to us in a sin-filled fallen world so very full of evil.

We Praise you Jesus. You ARE WORTHY to be praised.

  16. Here’s one of my favorite passages…

    Isaiah 9:6-7
6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

  17. And one of my favorite songs….My Redeemer Lives

    http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=F099CNNU

    • Thank you, sweet King, for everything you have done for your children and for being the Most High! We love you and praise your precious name forever and ever.

  18. Jesus, You’re the Center of My Joy

  19. The Heavens declare the Glory of of God!

Heavenly father, I deeply bow down before you. You are truly holy! I want to give you never ending thanks and worship for that you have given your only begotten son Jesus! Jesus, I thank you with all of my heart for what you have done to me! Through you my sins are forgiven and I will live eternally! Holy spirit, help me live my life in honour to Jesus and the heavenly father!

  20. The old testament says it plainly that in the end days the nation of Israel is brought back not because of man but because of His Name’s sake:

To God be the glory great things He has done
So loved He the world that He gave us His son
Who yielded an atonement that all might be saved

    TO GOD BE THE GLORY

    JESUS IS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!

  21. I’ve been thinking about what song above all song’s I’ve sang in His choir that I really wanted to share a verse of here in our worship posts…& as I was folding clothes just now I caught myself humming a song. This is a verse from a song that my mother would always ask me to sing when a solo was needed,no matter how many times I had previously sang it…to the extent that when she lay passing from this old world into His hands…I sang this in her ear!

“Consider the lilies they don’t toil nor spin, and their’s not a king with more splendor than them. Consider the sparrow they don’t plant or sow, but they are fed by the Master, who watches them grow. We have a Heavenly Father above with eyes full of mercy & a heart full of love, He really cares when your head is bowed low….consider the lilies & then you will know.”

Someone started a thing going around You Tube that asks “what will you ask
Jesus when you meet him face to face?” That’s easy for me…”How could
you love this old wretched & unworthy woman like me?”

All praise to the Father on high…all glory to His son Jesus!!

    Bee/Memphis

  22. My favorite song “The King is Coming”
    Chorus
“Oh the King is coming, the King is coming
I heard the trumpet sounding and now His face I see.
The King is coming, the King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me.”

Praise God He is coming very soon!!!!

  23. This song “There Is A River” (Gaither Vocal Band) gives me chills – especially the tenor, David Phelps (wow, wow!!), & the amazing pianist (Anthony Burger, who passed away in 2006 – the circumstances of his death & story of his severe burns as a child, only for him to become an incredibly blessed & renowed pianist is written here: https://christianexaminer.com/Articles/Articles%20Mar06/Art_Mar06_04.html ).

This song is sooo powerful…brings me to tears!! Never tire of it.

    • P.S. – I meant to say that I’m sorry the sound quality is not optimum & it’s a bit of an older video, but the words of assurance & comfort to us remain the same…”There Is A River.” Thank you, Lord! Please come quickly.

  24. Song in full…There will be a day when we see JESUS face to face
