Black and White Holstein Cow
Did you know that the Holstein cow is the world’s highest production dairy animal? Some of you dairy farmers out there probably do, but, chances are the rest of us probably did not. If you’re like me, all you’re concerned about is having a gallon jug of the stuff in the refrigerator, nice and cold, just waiting for morning cereal or late night milk and cookies. But, there is so much more! The land of Canaan (a picture of heaven) is a land flowing with milk and honey. And, that’s where we’re going, some time very soon! What a delight!
By now you’re more than likely wondering what a cow has to do with our usual topic of discussion. No, I haven’t developed a sudden interested in farming, although it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea! It’s actually a tie in to my previous post titled, July, a month for Sheep and Goats. I received an e-mail from my friend Carlos at Chozeh and Nabiy today. Carlos had written to ask me the dates of the two dreams mentioned in the Sheep and Goats post. I knew the first dream was February 2008 but, I could not remember the exact date, so, I got my journal out to see when it was. As it turns out, it was the night of February 19th or the early morning hours of February 20. As I was looking for the date, I noticed that there were actually two parts to my dream; I had forgotten about the second part. As I re-read the account of the dream, I was astounded to find that the second part of the first dream was amazingly similar to the second dream over three years later, the subject of both dreams – a room!
I’ve mentioned before that dreams can be subjective and it can be very hard to categorize them. But, sometimes, they are so compelling that we must pay attention to them.
If you recall, the second dream, like the first was a phone call from a friend. The first phone call was a warning about a a nuclear blast, the second was a request to get a room ready for the 15th. Here is the account of the second part of the first dream:
From my journal entry:
“After I saw the mushroom cloud, the scene switched and my husband and I were getting our two young daughters into a small storage type room for safety from the nuclear blast. (They appeared to be about 7 and 9 years old in the dream). The youngest had on a coat which seemed to small for her and I noticed that the hood and sleeves were lined with fur (not real fur, synthetic like you would find on kids coats). She (my youngest daughter) told me she was hungry and all I could find to give her was a shriveled up carrot. Then I saw a black and white porcelain cow, which, after seeing it, broke apart and gushed milk. Then suddenly my shirt was being pulled up over my head like some one was trying to take it off me, but, instead of pulling it off, it was being twisted tightly around my neck in an attempt to suffocate me. Strangely, it was my nine-year old daughter who was doing the twisting, I could see her face and she had an evil grin and was laughing as she twisted the shirt, I knew of course, that it was not really her; it only looked like her. Then, I struggled myself awake.”
I have been wondering since the end of June, what the dream “get a room ready” meant. I’m not altogether sure, but, I think I have a clearer understanding now.
Disaster is coming, we need to be ready. Our hiding place is in Jesus. I remembered that my daughters were saved and baptized at just about those ages, so, I think the dream indicated that my husband and I and our two daughters, when the time comes, will be found in a place of safety (and I’m not talking about a literal physical room, although, it could be so). Though provisions may seem sparse (withered carrot), Jesus provides abundantly, (the cow breaking and gushing milk) – with all that we need.
I’m not sure why a demon disguised as my daughter was trying to kill me, except to say that my daughter is a very devoted Christian and has suffered a number of demonic attacks for it, and I know first hand, like she does, that spiritual warfare is real. Perhaps a demon entered the dream in an attempt to disrupt the dream process and the message I was receiving from God.
Friends, dreams or no dreams, the Bible tells us the time is near. July 15 is one month following the lunar eclipse over Israel and the day the Palestinians will petition the UN for a vote on a Palestinian state this September. It couldn’t be clearer; time is very, very short. May your hiding place (and mine) be found in Jesus!

Cindy I want to thank you for your faithfulness in listening to the Lord and taking time (when you also have a job) to faithfully report what you believe He is revealing. I have learned much from your site. I know in my “knower” that things are just around the corner. The Lord has been showing me (and reminding me of past experiences with Him) how He takes care of us in the darkest of circumstances. How we need to be planted firmly in Him – praising Him when the entire world turns black. How He is there even when we don’t “sense” His presence. He does NOT let go of us, even when it appears all hope is gone.
I have been watching Carlos’ site – waiting with anticipation – because the Lord is also using Him mightily in these last moments before everything changes. I believe the two of you have a great calling on your lives in this present time period. (Please tell him to “hurry up.” I know he has SO much that the Lord is also revealing to Him! He mentioned He was under great spiritual attack.) I feel a great spiritual battle going on right now – in the heavens as well as here on earth.

Cindy, I felt that the room in your dream was safety in Christ, that’s just what resonated within me. We have peace knowing that whatever may come, He is our ark of safety. I grieve for what’s coming on unbelievers, but oh how I yearn to be with Jesus. Nothing compares to Him, and I just can’t wait to be with Him!!!

Oh Cindy! I am just praising the Lord for giving me direction to your site so
strongly in these the last days! He has ministered to me so much just over the last month through your Holy Spirit lead posts, and even more so through the reply’s you have given back to me….I am overwhelmed! Today I have again been feeling this intense stirring in my soul, as I am certain all of my family in Christ is. Not knowing just how much, if any we will go through of the judgements about to come upon this world leaves a body in a state of “heightened alert” !
But your words today are ever so soothing & comforting when reminded of our safety & peace in Jesus, the King of Kings & Lord of Lords!!

Your comment about not knowing why a demon disguised as your daughter tried to kill you, my thought as I read that was there is a danger in those things that are very familiar to us in that we can just take for granted that what we see can be trusted. I am finding that walking carefully and paying attention to even the smallest of details will provide clues as to what is being presented and where it is coming from. My take, we should expect the enemy to pass himself off as the real deal.

Awesome post, Cindy. I just love reading your blog, as you are always full of surprises and your posts are consistently encouraging! Well, I have a few comments actually.
First, the Holsteins. I just visited my great uncle, who is now in his mid-90’s. He was a farmer until retirement a few years ago, and is still an avid gardener. In his prime (no pun intended), he handled several dozen Holsteins at his dairy farm in Minnesota, a beautiful piece of land which abuts the upper Mississippi River. I have wonderful childhood memories of his place. Also, on a driving trip back from Minnesota a few years ago, I so happened to pass through the town of Holstein, Iowa, (not surprisingly) the self-proclaimed Holstein capital of the world! This town is in West Central Iowa. I believe that I passed through there on a Sunday morning about 10:00, and the streets were nearly empty with the exception of my car and about two dozen Harleys (all parked on the South side of the main street). A small Harley convention? Harley church meeting? I don’t know. What was impressive about downtown Holstein was the way it was decorated. Black and white cow imagery everywhere! Stop lights, posts along the side of the street, cow statues, you name it. Now, I just did a Google search to try to find some images, and I could find nothing there. But, believe me a few years ago the downtown was quite impressive, and it certainly left a mark on my memory. Too bad I didn’t take any pictures.
Second, your dream. You said “Perhaps a demon entered the dream in an attempt to disrupt the dream process and the message I was receiving from God.” Spot on interpretation, I would say. To me, this disturbing part of the dream about your “daughter”, near the end, is simply further support for the divine origin of your dream and its important revelatory message. The enemy hates for us to receive these revelations, so will try to disrupt things right away (this can also occur in the form of trying to make us forget our dreams). This topic is covered beautifully in a book I am currently reading, by James W. and the late Michal Ann Goll, entitled “Dream Language . . .” They call the devil the “Dream Snatcher”, but also discuss all types of spiritual attacks which attempt to cut off this essential revelatory channel of communication from God to us, via dreams. This also makes me think of “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis, regarding all of the tricks that satan has up his sleeve (although nothing original, of course).
Michael posted some interesting things to think about. What personally struck me about the “15th” is that in Hebrew months, that is typically around the full moon (ironically, today, July 15 is also a full moon!). Although I find it more likely that God would speak to you in Gregorian months, I think it is possible that it could be a coming Hebrew month instead (this happened to me once within a dream; i.e. God gave me a date in Hebrew). My opinion is that God prefers to give us riddles to solve as this brings us closer to Him ultimately (Proverbs 25:2)! This would explain, in part, why dreams are so symbolic.
Finally, to answer Jeanne, I may post a short writeup in the next few days, but I am working on an extremely long and research-intensive article which is the most important of my lifetime. So, I’m hurrying as best I can but it will take several weeks to more than a month to complete. I pray that it will be “worth the wait”. Blessings to both of you, and I truly appreciate your prayers, especially at this critical “hour”. Please know that you are both in my daily prayers as well.

Speaking of Holstein’s, my daughter pointed out that that the black and white cow represents the pure milk of the word, found in black and white in the pages of the Bible! How cool is that!
Thank you too for the information you presented on “the Dream snatcher” …. it sounds very interesting and makes a lot of sense. Where can one get a copy of it? As far as dreams being riddles, I keep reminding the Lord that I am very simple and and need most everything spelled out to me in BIG BLOCK letters!!!! But, then he brings along family and friends like you and all of my other wonderful friends here at CindybytheSea to help me along, so, I can’t complain!

I am in need of urgent prayer please for 2 of my grandchildren. We have raised Kenni Ann (6) & Noah Michael (3) since birth. We indeed have gone through the courts & obtained custody. Obviously their mother is not the best of mom’s & neither one of the kids know their fathers. Actually Kenni’s daddy passed away. Anyway, we have been letting them see their mom every 2-3 wks & they did so this past Sat…only this time she took off w/them! Mom,
It is so strange that in your dream I was telling you I was hungry… while reading this I kept thinking that it sounds familiar, (where have I heard that before?!?) and then it finally dawned on me, that statement was said to me by my visit of 3 Angels in Applebee’s…they told me that they heard me say I was hungry…. Dont know if there is a connection or not, but it really seems interresting that this keeps coming up. What do you think?
