Who OWN‘s You?
On January 1, 2011, OWN – the Oprah Winfrey Network will make its official debut, something which I thought those of us who have been seeing 11:11 for a while might find of interest.
Oprah, as almost every one knows, unless you’ve been living on the moon or in a cave somewhere for the past 25 years is the actress, producer and talk show host who has captivated the hearts and minds of the American people (American women in particular), since the debut of her show, (the Oprah Winfrey Show) on September 8, 1986. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of a childhood in poverty, Oprah became not only a household word in a short space of time, but a woman whose power and influence is felt the world over.

Oprah Winfrey arguably has more influence on the culture than any university president, politician, or religious leader, except perhaps the Pope.[16]
And from political commentator and radio talk show host, Bill O’Reilly –
I mean this is a woman that came from nothing to rise up to be the most powerful woman, I think, in the world. I think Oprah Winfrey is the most powerful woman in the world, not just in America. That’s — anybody who goes on her program immediately benefits through the roof. I mean, she has a loyal following; she has credibility; she has talent; and she’s done it on her own to become fabulously wealthy and fabulously powerful.[17]
Born Orpah Gail Winfrey on January 29, 1954. Oprah whose birth name is the biblical name *Orpah was named for one of the daughter-in-laws of Naomi in the book of Ruth. Due to early mispronunciation of her name, Orpah became Oprah, and for whatever reason, the name stayed that way.

*Orpah, if you remember is one of the two Moabite daughter-in-law’s of Naomi the Hebrew in the book of Ruth. When Naomi and her daughter in-laws were widowed, Naomi decides to leave Moab to return to her homeland of Judah. On leaving Moab, one daughter-in-law chooses to go with her and the other chooses to stay. Orpah leaves Naomi to return to her gods by staying in Moab and Ruth stays with Naomi traveling with her to Judah declaring her allegiance to both Noami and her God with these words, “your God shall be my God, and your people, my people.” Ruth 1:14-16.
I always find it interesting to look at the meaning of names. You can almost always count on finding some insight there and this one proved to be no exception. The name Orpah in Hebrew is related to the word for neck or back and means “she who turns her back, one who turns her neck in shame or derision, hand on the neck as in authority or stiff-necked as in stubborn. Interesting when you consider Orpah (she who turns her back on) and Oprah, new age talk show host and self-help Guru, who left her early Christian roots in a Baptist church are one and the same. From an article titled – The Gospel According to Oprah.
Oprah was raised in a black Baptist church in Mississippi. It is not known whether she had a healthy exposure to Christianity or a distorted one, but she is clearly in the process of deconstructing Christianity and reframing it into a New Age perspective … During the show Oprah related, “I was raised a Baptist and we were too hung up on traditional ways. I was sitting in church and heard that God is a jealous God. For any one who has ever watched her program, which no doubt, is just about everyone, there is no need to document the numerous new age guests, celebrities or authors who have used her program over the years as platform for preaching their gospel. What is amazing is the number of people who tune in daily for steady dose of in what in all reality is steady indoctrination away from the traditional beliefs that most Americans grew up with.
the color purple
One of the things Oprah Winfrey is known for is her role as Sofia in The Color Purple. I came across an interesting connecting to this when looking at the warning given to the Church of Thyatira in Revelation 2:15. Thyatira is of course the city where Lydia, the seller of purple or dealer in purple cloth lived and who was one of the earliest gentile converts to the Christian faith. (Acts 16:11-15).
After encouraging the church at Thyatira, the Lord also gives warning:
“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of foods sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but, she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches heart and minds and I will repay each of you according to you deeds. Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so–called deep secrets (I will not impose any other burden on you): Only hold on to what you have until I come.” Revelation 2:20-25
What are these deep secrets of Satan? The doctrine of demons and false religions recycled today as the latest psycho babble and New Age philosophy.
We are also warned in 2 Timothy 3:
But, mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. They are the kind who worm their way in to homes and gain control of weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning, but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
How foolish we have been allowing the enemy entrance in to the sanctuary of our homes – all in the name of entertainment! A little here … a little there … and the next thing you know – our homes, lives and marriages have been destroyed.
The number 11
If ten is the number which marks the perfection of Divine order, then eleven is an addition to it, subversive of and undoing that order. If twelve is the number which marks the perfection of Divine government, then eleven falls short of it. Why has everyone been seeing the number 11:11? Is the launching of OWN network on 1/1/11 simply a coincidence?
It’s been calculated that the endorsement of Barack Obama by Oprah Winfrey won him the nomination of his party over Hilary Clinton by some one million votes. If this woman and her daily talk show program carries this much clout, what might she be able to accomplish with her OWN network?

I recently took my family to a Casting Crowns concert, I don’t know if you have ever been to one of their shows but it is much more a preaching of the Gospel. They had a line in one of their songs about Oprah…

Cindy, what an interesting post!!
This was funny to me because when I read of Jezebel or Rev2:20-25, I often think of modern day media, then connecting to Winfrey.
I too share interests in the names throughout the Bible. It’s very interesting how God’s names, and the names his people are given are according to character. And when when we are given a new name, it is the same concept, just as Jacob was given the name “Wrestles with God” (Israel) after his wrestle with God. When reading of Orpah in the book of Ruth, I couldn’t help but notice she was lacking the first foundation, repentance-metanous (which simply means “change of mind”) It is the first step to salvation. We cannot obtain faith on God without first turning (back) to him.
You mentioned Rev2-“I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but, she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely unless they repent(metanous) of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches heart and minds and I will repay each of you according to you deeds.”
What struck me to grief was the word churches (εκκλησιαι-which refers to more than one church… you and I have already discussed that there are many churches out there) or body of people. We know that this specific body of people and their royal-head does not fear God.
Also purple was the color of royalty, or of kings. I can agree that Winfrey has a major rope around our culture today, further more than our president.

Re. the Casting Crowns song Michael mentioned: love it!!
Re. the Jezebel spirit, some may already be familiar with this post by brother Bob Schlenker from last week. I found the four videos he linked to be highly informative — both practically useful and spiritually profound in terms of recognizing the enemy and its schemes.
One of the tip-offs with Oprah was her gushing endorsement, several years ago, of the whole ‘A Course in Miracles’ thing — a glittery snare purporting to be the voice of Jesus, but 100% antichrist in its underpinnings, denying the cross. I was taken in by it for a time. Danger, danger! Very tempting/subtle for those not already steeped in Word and Truth.

I went to Biblewheel.com and checked out “44” and “528.” The number “528” is the English Gematria of “Uncle Sam.”
Both “44” and “528” have very interesting information.
Isaiah 22:22 the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

The KEY is Jesus/Yehoshua!
The full title of the Lord Jesus Christ is a multiple of the Key (#528).

Years ago the News Boys said in a song if Jesus was alive today they would try to book him on the Oprah Winfrey show!! Keep up the good work!! Looking so forward to seeing all the saints soon!!

I think they were right, (the Newsboys), if Jesus were alive today, they would want to book him on Oprah’s show – it would probably be his first and last appearance though as I doubt they’d like his very un-politically correct message. “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!”

I just wish to add that I have been seeing 111/11 everywhere. Recently, when driving my children from school I asked God, that should this be from Him, if he could show me 111/11 3 times before I reach home. He actually showed it to me 5 times on the 1.2 km drive, inlcuding a car in front of me with the word eleven written in its back window.
I first thought it was referring to November, but since November is now practically over, I think it may be reffering to 2011.

It is interesting to me that the harlot referred to in Rev 17 is said to be full of abominations and filthiness. This piece on Oprah made me think of not only what she is doing, but all new agers, Islam, Satan worship, and so on. Our politically correct society today not only welcomes these influences into the country from within and abroad, but is now protecting them via politically correct legislation, etc., and we as a Christian nation, are standing by and watching it happen. Our melting pot isn’t melting newcomers to the American way of life any more, which used to include Christianity, but rather, allowing all cultures and beliefs to flourish separately. We have opened our doors to filthiness and abominations, and are feeding them.
It also seems to me that what we are seeing happen in America is the result of an apostasy that is well under way, not something we are looking for in the near future. The results of it are beginning to wash over us in waves. Certainly, America has fallen away from it’s first love.
I’m not sure where America is in prophesy, but Rev 17 seems to fit. We have only to wait and see.

Further, I just realized how clever this logo is both frontwards and backwards in “programming their punches”. Basically they are stating that the NWO wants to OWN you!
I am so thankful that God has made all of this known to us through the Scriptures so that we are not in darkness about what is coming!

Thanks for this posting. I could never put my finger on exactly why but I have always been wary of Oprah Winfrey over the last 2 decades. I admired her as a woman of color who had risen so high in cultural influence but I never fell under her ‘spell’ or bought what she was ‘pushing’ in terms of philosophies. I wonder if that ‘uneasy feeling’ was the Holy Spirit all along, warning me to beware. I am more wary than ever now, especially since she was a major force in bringing Obama to power… OWN could be NWO.
