Ariel, Ariel

        Ariel  (Jerusalem)

I was reading Five Doves forum the other day and came across a posting which really caught my attention.  On July 1, Bruce Baber posted a link to a video regarding  a prominent Rabbi from Israel who before his death in January of 2006  (Tevet 29) predicted both the coming of the Messiah and his name.   According to Rabbi Kaduri of Jerusalem, the Messiah had appeared to him, revealing not only who he was, but, that he would be coming soon.  He also revealed that his soon return would be marked by the death of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.  Rabbi Kaduri, not wishing to divulge the specific information until a later time, wrote the name of the Messiah on a slip of paper, requesting that it be kept sealed until the year following his death.   One year later, the note which had been sealed was opened and its contents revealed.  To the amazement and chagrin of his many devoted followers, the name revealed by the 108 year old Rabbi, the name penned on the sheet of paper which had been sealed from the previous year, was none other than that of Yeshua, himself, Jesus of Nazareth!    (Links below to both the video and the article from Israel Today, April 30, 2007).

http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=128&view=item&idx=1347

I think this is absolutely amazing!  Did Rabbi Kaduri have a road to Damascus experience with the Messiah of Israel?  I think it is entirely possible that he did, for he had to have known what an impact this revelation would have on his followers once the name of the Messiah was revealed to be Jesus,  for the name of Jesus has been anathema to most Jews since the days of the first century.  I don’t believe he would have posthumously tarnished his highly esteemed reputation for anything less than the truth.

That being said.  If Rabbi Kaduri is to be believed, the Messiah will come soon following the death of Ariel Sharon.  Ariel Sharon, as most of us know, was Prime Minister of Israel from November 2001 until he suffered a debilitating stroke in January 2006, which has left him in a permanent comatose condition.  What I am wondering  is this –

…. if Rabbi Kaduri is to be believed, why would the death of Ariel Sharon be given as a sign.

LION OF GOD

First of all, I find it interesting that the first name of Prime Minister Sharon, Arielis the poetic name for Jerusalem and in Hebrew means lion of God.”  Jesus of course, is known as, the lion from the tribe of Judah“.  So, we find in the first name of the Prime Minister, two interesting connections to the Messiah, – one, in the title of his name, and two, to the place of his return .

We also find in his surname (Sharon) a connection to the Messiah, for Sharon in Hebrew means “fertile plain” or “plain” and is used in reference to the Messiah in Song of Songs 2:1, where the bridegroom is likened unto the rose of Sharon.

From Isaiah 29:1 -11

“Woe to you Ariel, Ariel, the city where David settled!  Add year to year and let the cycles of your festivals go on. Yet, I will besiege Ariel, she will mourn and lament, she will be to me like an altar hearth.  I will encamp against you all around, I will encircle you with towers and set up my seige works against you.  Brought low you will speak from the ground; your speech will mumble out of the dust.  Your voice will come ghost like from the earth; out of the dust your speech will whisper.

But, your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like fine chaff.  Suddenly, in an instant the Lord Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire. Then the hordes of all the nations that fight against Ariel and attack her and her fortress and besiege her, will be as it is with a dream, with a vision in the night — as when a hungry man dreams that he is eating, but awakens and his hunger remains; as when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking, but he awakens faint with his thirst unquenched, so will it be with the hordes of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion.”

Be stunned and amazed, blind yourselves and be sightless, be drunk, but not from wine, stagger, but not from beer.  The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep, He has sealed your eyes (the prophets), he has covered your heads (the seers).  For you this whole vision is but, words sealed in a scroll.”

I find it interesting that in this passage (the only place in the Bible where Jerusalem is referred to as Ariel, as far as I know), mentions both a sealed scroll and a deep sleep.  I can’t help but, wonder, if these could be indirect references in some way to the sealed note of Rabbi Kadur and the comatose condition of the Prime Minister.  We know, of course from scripture, that Israel has experienced a “hardening in part until the full number of gentiles comes in” (Romans 11:25)  -something which may be alluded to in these verses regarding the opening of the scroll and the ending of a deep sleep.

 +++++++++++++

Ariel Sharon was born February 26, 1928, on the fifth day of Adar 1. He is a retired general and served as Israel’s 11th prime minister from 2001 until suffering a massive stroke on January 4, 2006 (Tevet 4) which has left him in a permanent vegetative condition.  In the years prior to his stroke, Prime Minister Sharon was an instrumental part of the Road Map for Peace negotiations which continue today.

Palestinian Prime Minister, Mahmoud Abbas, President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, (Red Sea Summit, Aqaba, Jordan, June 4, 2003).

+++++++

Perhaps, what began while he (Prime Minister Sharon) was in office – (the initiation of the two-state solutionwill be finalized by or near, the time of his death.  A true marker, that the return of the Messiah is near.

“Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee”  Psalm 122:6   Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy

  1. I had a problem with the “message” of Rabbi Kaduri and the idea that he had a Damascus Road experience. The problem was this: How could he keep silent? Saul of Tarsus certainly didn’t. Here’s an esteemed Rabbi who had a (presumably) face-to-face meeting and revelation of Jesus Christ … and he said, “Wait a year….”

That was my first impression. But your post and a few days of reflection have brought other considerations to mind. First, while it is true that Saul of Tarsus began preaching almost immediately, it is also true that his preaching was ineffectual. The problem was not with the message or the messenger, but rather with the hearers.

Second, and very probable, is that the Lord Himself told Rabbi Kaduri how to proceed. Mark 1:44-45 come to mind.

It now seems likely that Ariel Sharon will awaken before he passes, and it seems consistent that in his deep sleep, he will also meet the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Would that not be amazing?? That Ariel would awaken and proclaim the name of Yeshua before his decease… and the Jews would finally awaken and declare, “Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of Yehovah!”

We shall see, and most probably very, very soon.

    • Hi Steve,
I had thought of some of these same things, but, in a short posting, it’s just about impossible to cover every point that could be addressed. That’s part of what I depend on my readers to do in the comment section. I’m not sure how other bloggers view their work, but, I see many of my postings as a step off point for conversation among the body, so that we can share out thoughts together in a public forum in way that hopefully is edifying to all of us.
Why Rabbi Kaduri, should he truly have met the Messiah behaved the way he did, I don’t know. And, that may simply be answer enough – we don’t know. If there is any validity to this story, and I would like to think there is – it has to do with the Jewish people and may be something that in due time, will be understood. Thanks for writing Steve and may God continue to bless your good work on blog talk radio. Cindy

  2. Cindy,
Art posted about this while you were on the mainland. Here are some comments made by Brandon and Art that you might find interesting:

“Art, I remember reading the article about Rabbi Kaduri over a year ago. His description of the second coming of Jesus really threw up some red flags. This is what he said:

“It is hard for many good people in society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood is hard to accept for many in the nation. As leader, the Messiah will not hold any office, but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign.

“Will all believe in the Messiah right away? No, in the beginning some of us will believe in him and some not. It will be easier for non-religious people to follow the Messiah than for Orthodox people.

“The revelation of the Messiah will be fulfilled in two stages: First, he will actively confirm his position as Messiah without knowing himself that he is the Messiah. Then he will reveal himself to some Jews, not necessarily to wise Torah scholars. It can be even simple people. Only then he will reveal himself to the whole nation. The people will wonder and say: ‘What, that’s the Messiah?’ Many have known his name but have not believed that he is the Messiah.”

Now, does that sound more like the description of the AC or Jesus coming with the clouds so every eye will see Him??? I don’t think He met our Jesus, just me. Maybe I’m missing something here, but he says Jesus won’t know he is the Messiah???? What???

I don’t get a good feeling about this…..please let me know what you think.

    God bless

[This one is a real judgment call. You’re right to wave some caution flags here, especially that one. (Some views on Jesus’ first coming suggest he didn’t know himself fully as a young child. Keep in mind that what Kaduri may be seeing is concatenated or mixed between coming #1 and #2 — something I’d expect, as this has been characteristic of non-believing Jews for 2000 years… seeing only one coming and missing the Messiach Nagid.)

I’d read some of this stuff before. I don’t think this message is meant for us gentiles but for the Jews and it also may well be the case that has not gotten all the details right. If it wakes some folks up, even in hindsight, that’s good.

At least he didn’t say it was the Maitreya, or Obama, or the Pope, or Prince Charles!!

Finally, on a more serious note, every one of the articles I linked to today as well as any other day, for that matter (except the moose video!) — including my own old material — is never done without some reservations and exceptions. I’ve never met another human being I agree with 100% and Kaduri is no exception. -Art]

I can’t help but think why would Jesus be using the media? Why would Jesus reveal himself to some Jews and then later all the Jews. What about Matt 24:30?

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

If Jesus is coming down from Heaven, how could he be here among the people? How could he be here using the media when Scripture says this?

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I am really having a hard time this. I was pretty excited the first time I read the article. But then I read it more carefully and compared it to Scripture, and it doesn’t match up.

Thanks for responding Art. I love your writings. So insightful and full of the Spirit! Keep it up Brother!!

[You’re right. It doesn’t match up. People should not credit any “messiah” who shows up in the ways Kaduri described. The Matt 24 material is authoritative. Kaduri is not.

What I found useful and interesting in it though — and perhaps I should just take it down lest some undiscerning folks be led astray (as is possible with the other links also, btw) — was that a Jewish rabbi of this stature would so straightforwardly proclaim the name of Yeshua.

That suggests to me two things: 1) satan’s time is short, and 2) he’s desperate. I.e., if this is a false vision of a pretender working for the wrong guy, why else concede the name to Jews disinclined to believe it?

Thanks for your scrutiny, Brandon. Folks should be careful with concluding anything more from this video than what 99% of *this* group knew already: the Messiah and Christ is Jesus.

Now go read/view the other links. Frankly, they’re better. -Art]

    • Hi Kim, Thanks for sharing this information with me, as I was not aware that Art had posted on this subject. I certainly appreciate and respect the points of view expressed by both writers and think they make some valid points. This is what I love about blogging, the opportunity to explore and discuss within the body of Christ on a variety of issues. Done in the right spirit, it serves to draw us together rather than divide us – and God is glorified!
Blessings sister and thanks for writing! Cindy

  3. You have certainly given me a great deal to ponder and study today..thank you for your continued effort. I’ve lurked for a great while gleaning truth until today just thought I’d share. It’s lengthy for a comment but the passion you stirred within me today seems to refuse to be quenched.

Interesting to note is a man called Rabbi Yosef Dayan a royalist born in Mexico said to have cursed Ariel Sharon. The curse is known as Pulsa diNura http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulsa_diNura (also supposedly placed upon Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated) calling on angels of death to intervene and kill him because he was expelling Jewish people from Gaza (Aug.2005)

The curse was supposedly recited in a cemetery called Rosh Pina (Cornerstone) In Dec. 2005 Sharon suffered his first stroke and in Jan. 2006 suffered 2nd stroke and the comatose state was induced. Wounded in his head and put into a deep sleep just an interesting thought if he indeed awakens from a death like state especially interesting if they indeed induced the coma and then bring him out of it. There are some who say that the care he received during the first stroke caused the second one which was a great deal more serious.

Yosef Dayan is supposed by some Jewish genealogist to be from the royal line of David. He is from the Dayan family of Aleppo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleppo (a very interesting place also known as Halab) Rabbi Dayan is an advocate for returning the monarchy to Israel. 2004 Rabbi Dayan became of member of the Sanhedrin when that body was re-established. He is an interesting figure in the whole scope of things I think especially. Just putting the pieces together but there seems to be a great deal of interesting information concerning this Rabbi and his involvement. He was born in 1945 in Mexico. Immigrated to Israel in 1968 and became involved with the Kach movement. (Another interesting group) He is also the founder of Malchut Israel (http://www.malchut-israel.com/lishka.htm)

Rabbi Kaduri born in Baghdad would certainly have been familiar with the Babylonian Talmud.
The Pulsa diNura “lashes of fire”
Connection with an angel known a Metatron
Yet, I will besiege Ariel, she will mourn and lament, she will be to me like an altar hearth.
Just a few things I’m looking into now. The meaning of the names of those involved, the places, the movements, all just seem to tie in together somehow. Seem possible that the “lion like man of the plain could arise from the ashes once again” what would that mean for Israel?
In October 1997, Benjamin Netanyahu, who was then in his first term as Prime Minister of Israel, came to visit Kaduri at his synagogue and was recorded as whispering in his ear “the left has forgotten what it is to be a Jew”. This was considered as a divisive action and resonated in the press[5]. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yitzchak_Kaduri

    • Hi D.S. – Absolutely fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing this information. Should one be able to weave all these points together, I have a feeling a rather startling and important picture would emerge. Blessings my friend, please feel free to add any additional thoughts you may have. Cindy

  4. There are 2520 (7 years * 360) inclusive days between the death of this rabbi and the infamous date of 2012-12-21…

Dunno what it means, it’s just interesting…

  5. Given the timing, it’s possible Baber posted to 5D as a result of my post on June 30th. And I, in turn, put that up as a result of an e-mail from someone else. Ah, how these things spin round-and-round! 🙂

    Leaving aside all of that

Kaduri’s life journey from Babylon (Baghdad) to modern Israel is certainly interesting in that each time, in the past, the Jews returned from captivity, they built a temple. The ultimate temple (of the body of Christ) will be re-built in the end-times.

Isaiah 6:9-13 is a foundational passage for the God-induced ‘sleep’ of the Jewish people until Christ’s return at the end the Great Tribulation, at which point the eyes of the remnant re-open, their hearts un-harden, and their ears are able to perceive properly again as they recognize. These ‘un-locking’ texts include Hosea 5:15, Ezekiel 39:29, Zechariah 12:10-14, and Jeremiah 50:4-5.

What I’m sensing here Cindy, is the possibility that the death of Ariel Sharon may be both literal and symbolic. I.e., the man must die before the Messiah is revealed to the Jewish people, but so must the nation as it exists today.

We know this clearly from looking at the Great Tribulation, aka “the Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.

As the Lord states in the Isaiah 6 passage, the Jewish people finally ‘wake up’ (wholesale) from their spiritual coma and perceive their Messiah when “the cities lie waste and without inhabitant” and it is “burned again”. Not happy stuff to contemplate as we pray for peace for Jerusalem, but the Lord has said it will happen… that this difficult route is part of his plan.

  6. Remember, a false Christ or false prophet shall suffer a head wound. He will awaken from an impossible injury to once more function as head of government. This is a much more likely scenario for Ariel Sharon, IMHO!

    • Hi Michael, Thanks for writing! I personally don’t think Mr. Sharon will recover, as the prophecy, if you want to call it that, has to do with his death, not his recovery. Mr. Sharon is now 80 some years old and his formerly large frame has now atrophied to little more than a hundred pounds. (Which is something I read somewhere recently and would be in keeping with his medical condition) – but, we shall see. Blessings to you! Cindy

  7. Dear Cindy,

Praise is the Name of the Lord. In your post regarding Rabbi Kaduri you discussed Ariel Sharon and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

in the heavens, this month of July, approximately the 20, near the 9th of Av, is a planetary event forming from the Lord of Hosts. He is forming a bright ‘star.’ This bright star is the conjunction of three planets Venus, Mars, and Saturn, in the southwestern skies, just after sundown.

This event started several months ago when the planets were 70 degrees apart. At its conclusion, the ‘bright star’ will be less than 7 degrees in separation.

The ‘bright star’ of conjunction will be centered around Regulus, in the Zodiac sign of Leo. This double star, Regulus is the Lion of Judah. The conjunction of the planets to form the ‘bright star’ is of a significance I know not of.

It is of the Lord of Hosts and brings forth the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Yeshua. It is also coming at a very historic time regarding the two temples and their destruction.

Rabbi Kaduri sang and danced with the Messiah in his dreams. He delighted in Him and trusted that He would deliver Him. The Messiah Yeshua is the Messiah written by Rabbi Kaduri as demonstarted by the anagramic words of his note.

Days before his death, the streets of Jerusalem were filled, probably similar to the events when Messiah Yeshua entered on Palm Sunday. Yet, the house of Judah, shortly after the revelation of the note 1 year later, denied Him again.

Let our hearts sing a new song unto the Lord and pray Yeshua come quickly.
