Passover and Covid-19

“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn — both men and animals — and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.” Exodus 12:12-13

I heard someone remark recently how “ironic it was that the plague had cancelled Passover.” Now of course this was tongue in cheek as Passover could never really be cancelled even if another Seder was never held but was rather commemtary on the restriction against large groups meeting which would mean they would not be able to host their annual Seder that generally seats about 400 people.

But then I heard today that the Sanhedrin in Israel may do just that. Perhaps not cancel but postpone. They are apparently being petitioned to declare this a leap year which would delay Passover (or perhaps change the date, I should say) as they feel the current restrictions (due to the virus) would not give people adequate time to prepare properly. In other words, the plague has postponed Passover. How strange is that?

I’m thinking given the current situation maybe they ought to consider simplifying things by going back to the Exodus 12 instructions. They didn’t have a lot of time to prepare then either. Right?

Isn’t it interesting how this virus has changed so many things. Let’s do a run down of some of them.

1- The entire world is pretty much on the same page right now. This is unprecedented. Cities all over the planet grinding to a halt. The conversation in my home is the same as that of my neighbors – is the same as those across town – is the same as across the country. And around the world. We are all talking about one subject. The virus.

2- God is collectively silencing the idols of our time with the closure of movies, concerts, restaurants and bars, theater, sporting events, recreation, shopping and travel for pleasure to places like Las Vegas just to mention a few. And abortion clinics are finally being closed.

3- Churches are being moved back to home settings reminding us that it is not the building that is the church but rather “we” who are the church. As the scripture says: “Wherever two or three are gathered.” The “seeker friendly” Church with its programs and coffee bars is perhaps being stripped of the extraneous stuff and being returned to the simplicity of its roots.

4- Passover will be observed primarily in homes again while the plague rages outside. Perhaps this year we will identify a little more closely with those huddled in homes during that first Passover with only the blood on the door standing between them and the angel of death.

5- Israel is apparently closing their doors to new arrivals. I have not been able to confirm this entirely but believe it would be significant. The law of return goes back to July 5, 1950 which would make it 70 years as of this July. If Israel is deemed to be fully mature at this time can the fullness of the Gentiles be far behind? I think not.

6- Because of the virus Israel will be closed for Shabbat perhaps more fully than at any other time in their recent history.

I think the above is sufficient to demonstrate that we are living in unprecedented times and we are first hand witnesses to the final stages of God’s great redemptive plan. I’ll include a couple of links below that relate to my list. I apologize that the comments section was closed on my last two posts. I’m not sure how that happened and could not rectify it once the post was published. I do look forward to hearing from you and joyfully look forward to the things you have to share.

Silencing The Noisy Din

Broadway closed due to Corona virus

We have entered into what I believe to be a unique period in history. A time when the whole world is at a virtual standstill. Every one on the same page at the same time more or less. Major cities as well as small hamlets have become virtual ghost towns with people like mice venturing out only when necessary in search of something to eat.

I like the photo above for demonstrating the degree to which we are bombarded with constant destraction in our lives. Even without sound it virtually shouts at us for attention. And because of this very few find opportunity for real quietness in their day. Between jobs, family and recreation/entertainment there simply isn’t enough time. At least that is what we think. But circumstances have changed all that and now like it or not we have been forced to slow down.

My husband mentioned to me earlier today that One For Israel has been overwhelmed lately with inquiries; and that’s a good thing. “One For Israel” is a Messianic Ministry primarily aimed at reaching Jewish people for the Messiah, Jesus. Evidently while confined at home some people are using the time for searching the web and many of them out of boredom, curiosity or fear are looking to Christian Ministries and organizations for answers. I’m sure One for Israel is not the only one receiving such inquiries. And I think that God in his mercy has provided a short window of time for doing just that.

There is a verse in Jeremiah that speaks of this.

The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of a great destruction from the land of the Babylonians. The Lord will destroy Babylon: he will silence her noisy din.” Jeremiah 51:55

A din is a loud, unpleasant and unwelcome noise, clamor or clatter. And God is going to silence it. Why? Because it has been keeping people from hearing him.

Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51 address the destruction of Babylon. It is fascinating to read and one can see why there are many who believe these chapters speak to a future Babylon or Babylonian system (America/Mystery Babylon) and not just the historical one.

Going back to my opening paragraph I can’t begin to stress enough the uniqueness of the time in which we are now living. I can think of no other time in history when the whole world was basically on the same page at the same time. Unprecedented! And God is using it for his glory!

Right now we need to be praising God and thanking him for this window of opportunity. I do believe it will be short. As far as this earthly life is concerned I see no good ending to the situation in which we are in. When this is over (in my opinion) life as we know it will be dramatically altered with a global population ready and willing to accept a charismatic new leader who will fearlessly lead them forward into a new world order. Civil unrest and chaos on a mass level will be the force that drives it and people will not only welcome, but embrace it when its time.

This is the point to which we are moving. A swift moving stream catching up everyone (and everything) in its path. An avalanche rumbling down a mountainside uprooting boulders and flattening trees only to gather more momentum as it goes. This is the path the world is on. Its dangerous and its destructive. It will promise life but deliver death. The only place of safety is in Jesus. Please, if you haven’t done so already, trust him today.

Encouraging Words

From my garden yesterday

I just read this post by T.W. Tramm and wanted to share it with you. Beautifully written it immediately brighted my spirits.

…….

MARCH 19 marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

From this day forward, the longer and warmer days will have a transforming effect on Nature: Grass will sprout and thicken; trees and shrubs will bud and send forth new growth; birds will lay their eggs; mammals will give birth; animals will shed winter coats; and caterpillars will transform into butterflies.

The world around us, which had seemed “dead” during the long cold winter, will come to life!

Knowing that God, the Author of Nature, is consistent and works to patterns, it’s not surprising that spring is a time of new beginnings in Scripture as well.

Biblically, spring is when—

• The New Year begins (Ex. 12: 1, 2).

• The harvest season begins (Lev. 23:9-14).

• Principal figures such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and King David are born.

• God’s people are liberated from captivity (Ex. 12; Ez. 7; Neh. 2).

• God’s people are married or betrothed (Ex. 19; Ruth; Acts 2).

• Decrees are issued (Ez. 7; Neh. 2).

• Kings go forth to battle (2 Sam. 11:1).

• The fig tree puts forth leaves (Matt. 24:32).

• The Nation of Israel is born and reborn (Exodus/1948).

• The trumpet of God is sounded (Ex. 19: 16, 19, 20).

• Resurrection and ascension occur (Matt. 27:51-53).

• Dispensational change (Law/Grace) occurs (Ex. 20; Acts 2).

Last but not least, spring is when the shepherd comes to gather and spirit away his beloved Shulammite maid in the Song of Solomon:

“The winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come … Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!” (Song 2:11-13).

And so, in both Nature and Scripture, spring is a time of new beginnings, birth, rebirth, marriage, redemption, and transformation.

What do these themes have in common?

They each describe the awesome and much anticipated event we call the Rapture:

• The Rapture is a “new beginning” as we will acquire new incorruptible bodies (1 Cor. 15:53).

• The Rapture is like a “birth” as we will be born into the Kingdom of Heaven (1 John 3:2).

• The Rapture is a “wedding” between the Church and God (Matt. 25).

• The Rapture is a time of “redemption” for our physical bodies (Rom. 8:23; Eph. 1:13, 14).

• The Rapture is a “transformation” that occurs in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:52).

One of God’s main attributes is that He is consistent and works to patterns (Heb. 13:8; Ecc. 1:9). Seeing how spring embodies the types and themes we associate with the Rapture, it’s reasonable to speculate that the catching away could occur during the spring of some year.

Could 2020 be the year?

Only God knows.

Nonetheless, as the hopeful bride, we’re expected to—

• Know the signs (Luke 12:55, 56; 21:25-32).

• Discern the general timeframe (Heb. 10:25; 1 Thess. 5:1-5).

• Be watching when He appears (Matt. 24:42, 46; Luke 21:28).

Regardless of the season, the dramatic ramping up of “birth pains” is a sign that Jesus’ return is near, “right at the door” (Matt. 24:8, 33).

Therefore, let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch.

. . .

NOTES:

*Biblical definition of the seasons:

While calendars customarily divide the year into four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter—the Bible mentions only two main seasons, summer and winter: “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease” (Gen. 8:22). “It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter” (Ps. 74:17). Biblically, summer begins at the vernal equinox in March (19-21) and ends at the autumnal equinox in September (21-24). Winter runs the opposite, beginning in September and ending in March. Therefore, to be precise, spring is not a distinct season but, rather, the first part of the summer. Likewise, autumn is not a distinct season but, rather, the first part of winter. The June and December solstices, marking the beginning of summer and winter on our calendars, actually represent the midpoint of the respective seasons.

*In 2020, spring begins March 19 and ends June 20. Summer begins June 20 and ends September 22.

A Sign For All To See

The angel Moroni stop the Salt Lake City Mormon temple minus his trumpet

This morning the Utah Valley centered around Salt Lake City experienced a 5.7 earthquake. The jolt centered around the city of Magna was significant enough to startle residents awake at 7:09 am and to cause minor damage to a number of buildings. Most importantly though was the damage done to the gold image atop the LDS temple known as the angel Moroni who lost his trumpet as a result of the quake.

For those of us watching Bible prophecy unfold I believe this is significant. Yesterday I had started to write about God silencing the “gods” around us in preparation for his coming judgment. All the things that we idolize, the things that we worship brought to a standstill or close. Sports, cinema, vacations, leisure activities and so on. God is trying to get our attention one last time before judgment falls. Sadly, though unless the internet goes down most will spend their time playing video games or binge watching Netflix. Bringing me to believe that God may indeed allow the power grid to go down in one last attempt to reach people. The Bible says God finds no pleasure in judging the wicked. Right now God is tempering judgment with mercy but that window I believe is very short.

Back to the angel Moroni. So very interesting and not a coincidence that God caused the trumpet to fall. A trumpet is used as a call to assembly. In the last days (at the last trump as the scripture says), the Church will be assembled in heaven. Mormonism is a false religion with a Jesus who is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Mormon Jesus is a figment of the imagination and has no power to save. And the Mormon Church at its heart is a works based religion. There fore when the trumpet sounds Mormons and other unbelievers will not be going. God is silencing and exposing false Gods and he is just getting started.

A couple of links for you.

Reaping What We Have Sown

And we wept ….not for the children lost (for they were never children in our minds anyway) but for the children born … and the tears we cried were as much for ourselves as it was for them …for they were lost to as well

It’s been 47 years since abortion was legalized in January 1973. And since that time a staggering amount of unborn children have lost their lives primarily for the convenience of the mother. And while there has been some out cry and effort to end this horrifying practice it has largely gone unchecked. And statistics dating back to 2009 already place that number at well over a billion.

My friend William at The End Times Forecaster brought this to my attention when he suggested in a recent post that the death toll world wide from the Corona virus might well match the number of a abortions that have taken place since 1973. I think he placed that number at about 1.9 billion. A number that most of us cannot even begin to comprehend. I know I can’t.

It’s interesting to me that almost no Christian leader (that I know of) has suggested that repentance from our national sins might be in order. Have we no Elijah’s out there? Evidently not. Instead what I hear are things like “God is greater than the Corona virus” and “God has not given us a spirit of fear” and while all that is true has anyone stopped to think that maybe, just maybe this virus is from God as an instrument of his justice and judgment? How long do we think we can continue in the way we have been going without Him acting? I’m glad the President has called for a National day of prayer tomorrow but without nation wide repentance…the old fashioned sack cloth and ashes kind I am doubtful that God will be moved to abate this crisis.

If you are on social media at all you have seen the numerous posts by the younger generation stating that they planned to go about their business as usual virus or no virus because it primarily affects the “old” and the “sickly”. I can’t begin to count the numerous responses by older folks absolutely horrified by this attitude. How could they be so heartless??? Surely, the lives of the elderly and the sickly matter as much as theirs, they say. How cold and callous does one have to be to put others at risk? Mind boggling isn’t it. But the truth is that we have raised up a whole generation of young people to whom the concept of sanctity of life means very little and now it appears that we are reaping what we have sown. And we’re shocked; absolutely dumbfounded that it could be this way.

If people start dying in numbers anywhere close to what is being projected we will see bodies being incinerated and buried in mass graves. No funeral or memorial service, no burial in the family plot. No dignity. Just disposed of like so much rubbish. Kind of like what happens to the bodies of dead aborted babies. Are we getting it now?

What is happening with the Corona virus crisis is many faceted. I personally believe it will bring in the beast system before it is all over but that is a subject for a different post. And please when we collectively join in prayer tomorrow may we remember to confess and repent of our personal and national sins from wherever we are at in the world. And maybe, just maybe the good Lord will stay his hand.

Days of Peace and Plenty

Wal Mart near Olympia, WA 3/5/20

My son-in-law took this photo near his home in Olympia, Washington yesterday. As you can see the shelves are pretty well picked over. They did have bread and milk though which surprised me…but then again it makes sense that it would be non perishables that people would stock up on first. How long things like milk and bread will continue to be available is anyone’s guess and probably should not be counted on as I’m sure most people know. Or will soon find out.

I’ve been home from my trip to California for almost two weeks now. Thankfully, it was a good trip and we had wonderful time with our daughter and her family. I only observed two people wearing masks while we were away. And since I’ve been home only one. So, by and large life seems to be going on as usual at least in my neck of the woods and if it were not for the news and reports from my daughter in Washington it would be hard to believe that the world is in such a precarious situation.

So far here in NM there have been no reported cases with no shortages in any stores as far as I can tell. My other daughter which lives in Texas reports the same thing. My friends in Hawaii though are busy scrambling for toilet paper and other essentials (which could truly be a problem when living on an island) while officials continue to down play any effect the virus might be having. No testing, no cases …problem solved.

So how are things where you are? If you’re like me you may have trouble grasping the seriousness of the situation. My tulips are coming up and the field next door is being plowed in preparation for spring and life goes on as it always has. I dont know about you but I simply have no time for viruses and other increasingly ugly things that seem to pop up almost daily like so many noxious and unwanted weeds. I have my garden to tend to and grand babies to rock. I simply have no time for all the garbage and mostly just want it all to disappear.

I’m pondering this as I write. How difficult it is to let go. To live in uncertainty. It is so human to want control. To know my family is safe, to know I have groceries in the cupboard, to know that the sun will come up again tomorrow and that life will be good. The ramblings of one who has lived 65 years in a land of peace and plenty. Yet, I’m no fool. We have gambled away incredible blessings and the once firm ground on which we stood has now eroded to the point of collapsing and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Virus or no virus, the course we are on is not sustainable and the abundance we once enjoyed along with so many carefree days and hours are almost certainly drawing to an end. We have sown the wind and all that’s left now is to reap it.

Lord, you have blessed us with so much. Please forgive us for squandering those blessings. We are a selfish and ungrateful people not worthy of your love and yet you love us anyway. Help us Lord when we are weak, strengthen our faith when we falter, lead us when we cannot see the next step ahead. And refine us Lord where needed in order that we might be a pleasing and fit bride for your Son.

And as always,

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

Bench and Cross

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life” John 3:14-15

A few years ago, my husband and some young men he was mentoring took to erecting a cross made out of whatever they could find while out hiking. They would also construct some kind of bench where they could spend some time in fellowship and prayer. They called it the “Bench and Cross”. In the photo above they were seaside. I thought it made a nice photo.

The reason I mention this is because I am going to be away for a few days. My husband and I are traveling to Southern California to spend some time with our daughter and grandkids who are traveling from the Northwest and I’ve got to tell you I’m a little nervous about this. With all that is going on I hardly want to leave home anymore. Maybe you can identify with that.

Anyway, as I’ve been packing I could feel the anxiety mounting. Earthquakes, civil unrest, corona virus…. oy!!! I think I’ll go back to bed and put the pillow over my head! And never leave home. But that is not realistic and certainly not what God has called us to do.

I have to admit courage is not my first name, it’s not even my middle or last. But the Lord does not give us the Spirit of fear and like Corrie Ten Boom’s father told her when her fear was at its greatest “God will give you what you need when you need it.” In other words, if the time should come when we need courage we can be certain that God will supply all that we need and more.

The picture of the Bench and Cross has already relieved some anxiety. Why? Because the Cross stands above everything else. It rises above any trouble or catastrophe we might face. It is not diminished in the least by the circumstances of our lives and like the serpent lifted up up in the wilderness we simply look to it and live.

If you would be so kind as to keep us in prayer while we are away. Our daughter and her family as well. I will try to update my blog from time to time if I should see or hear anything worth passing on. Other than that I should be back home in about ten days, God willing.

And as always,

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

Racing Towards Judgment – Part 3

untitled

Red Alert!

images001HU2YM

desposorio

Imagine that you had a dream and this was the face that you saw. The face appeared as if on television and filled the entire screen. Across the bottom of the screen was the word desposorio. Kind of like you would see on a news bulletin or news flash when something important has happened or a big announcement is about to be made.

That was the phone call I received from my daughter Seven Stars this morning. She asked me if I knew any Spanish (words) and outside of perhaps “taco” and “burrito”, I said, “no”. She said she didn’t either … which I knew to be true. I told her if I had to guess I would think the word might have something to do with despot or desperado. She said, she had thought the same thing. But no, that wasn’t it. Imagine my surprise when she told me what it did mean.

desposorio: Noun. A mutual promise to contract marriage: almost always used in the plural.

And it also goes on to say (below the definition) that the word is specific in church tradition for the espousal of Mary to Joseph. In other words, if you were talking about the “engagement” of Mary to Joseph the term for it would be desposorio. And there is a story behind that.

Now, if you’re like me you probably don’t put much stock in church tradition. A lot of it stems from the Catholic Church and where it originated from before that is anyone’s guess. In other words there may or may not be any historical roots to the story. But, I do find it interesting all the same.

So, here’s the story in a nutshell.

We must remember that marriages in those days were arranged. Per the story, Mary had been consecrated to God. When it came time for her to be betrothed the temple priests had a method by which her husband would be selected. Out of all the marriageable aged men, it would be the one whose rod or branch would bud. And that was Joseph.

I think its fascinating that this story whether true or not involves the budding of a rod (or branch). Bibically, as far as I know the budding of a rod is always specific to almonds. Think of Aaron’s rod that budded.

If you have been following my blog recently you know how important the season for almonds is. The season we are in right now! It is this month (Shevat) that God is watching for the blossoming of the almond tree. The first tree to bloom while all others are still dormant or sleeping. I talked about that in my last post. You can also check out a previous post I wrote a few years back titled “Awaken and Watch – the blossoming of the almond tree” for more on the importance of almonds, it really is quite extensive.

I ask my daughter what she thought it meant (the dream) and she said she got the distinct feeling that the rapture; the catching away of the bride to heaven would be in the days of Trump. And specifically because the word desposorio involved (not only the idea of betrothal) but the budding of a branch … that it might well be in the season for almonds. Which is now. Either way, she said, “I felt very distinctly that the time is short”.

* I have more I wanted to say but my WordPress site has crashed and so far we have been unable to restore it. Thankfully, I can access it on my phone but it’s not really conducive for lengthy writing. So, I will publish this portion and hopefully will be able to write again soon. And truthfully there is so much happening right now, its impossible to cover in one post anyway.

Until then, as always,

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee.” Psalm 122:6

Racing Towards Judgment – Part 2

untitled

“They were hard to distinguish at first. And I couldn’t be at all certain what my eyes were seeing. So, I rubbed them once and then rubbed them again. Was it just me or were there four powerful figures emerging from out of the mist? This crazy swirling mist that seemed to envelop everything around it obscuring it seemed even the most familiar of things.

I ask my neighbor, “What do you see?” But they were unconcerned and assured me, “It’s fog, nothing more. Will burn off before the day is out, nothing to worry about, you’ll see.” But, I wasn’t so sure and truthfully their words did little to relieve the anxiety I was feeling.  I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but somehow I knew this was no ordinary fog. There was something very, very different about this.

Straining my eyes again, I swear I could see four powerful horses, one white, one red, one black and one pale advancing toward me at a thunderous pace. And I have to admit, I was very afraid.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Just a little narrative to begin todays post. My thoughts I suppose on folks who feel like things are really just not right but aren’t completely sure why and others who for whatever reason are completely oblivious to what is going on. Either unable or unwilling to see. Thank God we have his word to shed light on these very unusual times in which we live.

On my last post I created a time line that took us up through February 3. I would like to continue with that backing up to Sunday February 2 and the Super bowl.

02/02/2020 –

I talked about this in my last post. How the date 02/02/2020 reads the same forward as it does backward. This is known as a Palindrome.  The last time a date read like this was 01/01/1111 and was 909 years, one month and one day from Sundays Super bowl. So you can see, dates like that don’t come around often. Therefore, I thought with all those two’s that Sunday might somehow be prophetically significant. And I believe it was.

In my last post I established how the number 2 could either represent division or union.  I  wasn’t sure how that might play out but felt pretty certain that it would. Was I ever surprised however when it came in the form of half time entertainment of all things. But it did. And by Monday morning social media was tearing it up between those who found the performance utterly disgusting and those who did not. With those who found it unsuitable for family viewing labeled as either puritanical, racist or haters.

Speaking of things torn up ……

images

In the above photo Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi can be seen tearing up the Presidents State of the Union Address.  The date was Tuesday February 4. A day later the President would be aquitted of all charges brought against him in the impeachment trial. In a nation so divided one can only wonder if the spectacle by the Speaker might be a harbinger of things to come. Something Michael Snyder at ENDTIMES HEADLINES explored in a recent article titled:

“Was Pelosi ripping President Trumps speech in half a harbinger of what is about to happen to America during the next election?”

If you missed this very insightful article, you can read it here. I think I have to agree with him; it was telling. And very likely the hand writing on the wall so to speak.

untitled

I came across another article that really set me back on my heels. I don’t have the link but the headline was enough and this is how it read –

“A Dead President Cannot Be Impeached”

The article went on to say that the President has entered a very dangerous time. The left know that they cannot win the election and having failed to impeach the President, well, what’s left? Pretty obvious isn’t it? A thought that should chill each one of us to the bone. And we can only imagine the hell that would break loose across the country if that were to happen.

One of the things I am exploring is the odd coincidence that the President was acquitted on the same Jewish date former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon passed away. It was Shevat 10 on the Hebrew calendar. Sharon (if you remember) had been in a coma for 8 years following his own attempt at dividing the land during the Road Map to Peace days of 2003.

I wrote a post about Mr. Sharon shortly before his death titled: Ariel Sharon and the Scroll of Revelation 5. Which if interested you may read here. We have yet to see the consequences President Trump and America by extension will suffer as a result of our own meddling but I think we are well on our way to finding out.

Every day the story changes and it’s anyone’s guess what the actual numbers are. I have come across information that if true is simply horrific. Chinese thought to be infected forcibly removed from their homes and any one thought to be infected simply euthanized before they can continue to spread the virus.

I don’t know if there is any truth to these kinds of stories but the situation by all accounts is grim. It just hasn’t hit us here – yet. I have a friend who is posting on the virus almost daily and is doing a good job compiling information from various sources. She goes by the name of Garden Girl and her blog is Running From Babylon. Please check it out if you have not done so already.  You can find the link to her blog here.

I think I will run this narrative (Racing Towards Judgment) for a while. So, God willing there will be additional posts in the coming days as we see what develops. I really feel that we have entered a time unlike any other. The precursor to the opening of the Seals if not the opening of the Seals themselves. As the plagues on Egypt came in rapid succession I think we can expect the same with the opening of each seal.

Pray for the President, pray for our country. Pray Psalm 91 over yourself and your family. And above all, if you do not know Christ as your personal Savior. Make haste to do it now. There simply is no protection for what is coming except in Christ. Like Passover in the book of Exodus, it was the blood of the Lamb and the blood alone that protected the Israelites from the angel of death as it passed through Egypt. Likewise the blood of Jesus is the only thing standing between judgment for you and for me. Make sure you are covered. Judgment is coming … in fact, it is already on it’s way.

And, as always –

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy

Racing Towards Judgment – Updated

untitled

It’s really been a month unlike any other. January 2020. In all the years I have been watching Bible prophecy I have never seen anything quite like this. The events we have witnessed over the past few weeks are really unprecedented in my opinion. And now at the start of a new month we can only imagine what the next few weeks might bring.

I am in the process of putting together a time line. Drawing from words, pictures and events of the past month or so I hope to paint a picture as to where we have been and where we may be headed. With all that has happened it would not be out of the realm of possibility (in my opinion) that the Four Horses of the Apocalypse are already in progress and that we are indeed rushing headlong towards judgment.

That being said, please keep in mind two things.

1– I will do my best to cite the sources from some of the information I use. I read a lot of things and they stick in my mind but I don’t always remember where I read them so my apologies in advance for any thought or idea that I might express that is not exclusively mine or from scripture.

2– I am not interested in debating the time line from Revelation 6 or any other prophetic event for that matter. So, please keep in mind that what is presented here is for the purpose of thought and study alone. The conclusions you draw are your own.

That being said, I would like to start with early December.

December 4, 2019

A photo of Kim Jong-un riding a white steed in the snow covered mountains of North Korea was widely publicized. It would not be the first of such images by the young dictator but was interesting nonetheless given the events that were about to unfold.

“I looked and there before me was a white horse. Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.” Revelation 6:2

I came across this bit about Kim Jong-un from a link at one of the blogs I read. William at The End Times Forecaster posts some interesting stuff and I think this was from someone he linked to called, “The Big One“. And while I do not believe that the North Korean dictator is the definition of the above verse per se I do think the following observation was rather astute.

“While the rider on the white horse (Jong-un) is not wearing a crown; he is a crown

Wow! Great observation. Kim Jong-un, dictator in chief is “royalty” you might say. Certainly a god in his own mind. And is photographed here visiting the “sacred” mountains of North Korea where important decisions like going to war (carrying a bow) are made. An interesting image for sure for what would be the start of an even more interesting month.

December 8, 2019 –

The Corona virus out of China is making news and had already become something of a concern by the first week of December. According to Science Magazine, the first patient to exhibit symptoms of the virus was December 8, 2019. At that time it was thought that the virus originated from a seafood market in Wuhan, China. And the market was subsequently closed January 1. Following this there was speculation that the virus was a result of consuming food products made from bats or snakes. But that is likely not the case. As it turns out Wuhan, China is the home of a bio lab which many think is the source for the dangerous virus. Whether intentionally or unintentionally leaked the virus is showing evidence of being engineered for the purpose of biological warfare. And with an incubation period of about two weeks it is now threatening to grow exponentially across the globe. With no vaccine or treatment available at this time it is speculated that the 2019 novel corona virus could kill thousands, if not millions in a very short period of time.

Which makes me think of these two verses-

1- “I looked and there before me was a pale horse! It’s rider was named Death, and Hades was following closed behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth”. Revelation 6:8

2- “Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its head”. Revelation 12:3

Without a doubt, the dragon is universally recognized as the national symbol for China. It is present at almost all of their celebrations especially Chinese New Year and is very important to their culture. Thus I am sure it was with a great deal of reluctance that Chinese New Year was cancelled this year due to the spread of the virus.

It is interesting also that the word Corona means halo or crown. Which reminds me of this verse –

“Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back”. Revelation 12:7

Could what is happening in the spiritual realm be manifesting at least symbolically here on earth? I think it is possible.

January 2, 2020 –

Conflict with Iran. Iranian General (and chief exporter of terror) Qassem Soleimani is killed in an airstrike by U.S. forces following the storming of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad on December 31 by Iraqi supporters of Hezbollah.

January 6, 2020 –

Iran (Persia in the Bible) was incensed at the death of Soleimani and vowed revenge of a kind we would never forget. On January 6, they struck back at U.S. forces in Iraq with minimal damage. With Purim coming up in a few weeks I look for a resurgence of conflict with this regime. This is a fight I’m afraid that is far from over.

January 21, 2020 –

The impeachment trial of President Donald J. Trump begins.

January 27-28, 2020

The long awaited peace plan, the Deal of the Century was rolled out with almost immediate acceptance from both Israeli leaders Netanyahu and Gantz. To sum it up the plan calls for the creation of a Palestinian State with east Jerusalem as the capital and settlements in the West Bank and Jordan Valley to be annexed immediately to larger Israel. This deal is rightly called a “Covenant with Death” and will not end well for either party. And while the Palestinians have not yet accepted the offer (with a lot of pressure from their Arab neighbors and 50 billion dollars on the table) I think they eventually will. Nevertheless, the warning against dividing the land has proven to have serious repercussions in the past whenever it was tried and I think we can expect the same very soon. In fact, a 7.7 earthquake in Jamaica and Cuba occurred with in 2 hours of this announcement. And was felt as far north as Miami very close to the Presidents personal residence at Mar-a-Lago. And whether the Palestinians are inclined to accept the proposal or not is really beside the point. The point is that we (the United States) are actively working to divide the land and both Israeli leaders are on board with it. Need we say more.

“While they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape”. 1 Thessalonians 5:3

As you are probably aware the words “peace and safety” or “peace and security” have come up repeatedly in regard to the peace plan. So much so that they really are hallmarks of the plan itself. How telling is it then that the plan was rolled out on Holocaust Remembrance Day. A day when the world comes together collectively to say never again. In fact, the Friday before the plan was rolled out dignitaries and leaders from around the world gathered in Jerusalem for the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Absolutely gut wrenching to know that the plan so widely celebrated today will be the catalyst or start for the worst period in Jewish history – a period of time the Bible calls – the time of Jacobs trouble.

February 2, 2020 – Super Bowl Sunday

The Super bowl will be played this year at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and will feature a match up between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Now this is interesting. The date of the game can be reversed and still read the same. From what I understand this is the first occurrence of a date that can be read like this in 900 years. And, wow, that’s a lot of 2’s! Four of them ! 02/02/2020.

The number 2 in the Bible is indicative of both Union and Division. Example – when a man and woman are married the two become one – a union. On day two of creation, the waters under the expanse of heaven were separated – division. Two interesting words that I hope does not indicate division of this Union – the United States. But that is exactly what some are saying may happen as a result of dividing or attempting to divide Jerusalem.

If this were to happen would it be a literal dividing of the land? Earthquakes are being felt everywhere. Or might it indicate a division among people which is already happening. People in this country are more divided than ever. So will something happen tomorrow that will facilitate this process. I don’t know but I think it is certainly a possibility.

One of the things that I find particularly interesting is the name of the stadium – Hard Rock. Puts me in mind of this verse from Zechariah.

“On that day, when all the nation of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.” Zechariah 12:3

All who try to move it will injure themselves. Hmmmmm …… we already witnessed an earthquake in the vicinity of the Presidents home shortly following the announcement of the peace plan. What might be next? Consider this –

Mar-a-Lago, the Presidents personal residence is located about 60 miles from the stadium. Security is said to be tight with black hawk helicopters keeping watch over the proceedings. But will it be enough?

Keep in mind that the NFL turned down a pro-life commercial featuring abortion survivors but gave the green light to drag queens. Interesting that I just read that the Corona virus seems to exclude children. Although they could as a carrier pass it on to adults. Hmmmm …. maybe the tables have turned. Instead of adults killing children it might just be the other way around for a change.

From an article in Time Magazine dated 1/1/2020 –

A paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine on Thursday analyzed characteristics of 425 of the first people in Wuhan infected by the virus known as 2019-nCoV and found that none were younger than 15. The median age of patients was 59, and at least as of mid-January, the youngest person to die from the disease was 36.”

February 3, 2020 –

A new quarter from the U.S. treasury will be issued on February 3 with the image of a fruit bat hanging on it. H/T to my daughter whom I’ll refer to as Pix for bringing this to my attention. I don’t know about you but I think this is absolutely fascinating as the Corona Virus was initially thought to have originated with a bat.

untitled

Apparently this new design is the latest in the U.S Mints “America the Beautiful” series. According to the website I read it is in honor of the National Park of American Samoa and features a mother fruit bat hanging in a tree with her pup. According to the U.S. mint, the Samoan fruit bat is threatened with habitat loss and commercial hunting. And therefore is worthy of being brought to our attention via our coinage. The image of the bat replaces that of the Eagle on this coin.

Really, how endearing is that. A mother bat and her baby. How about a coin with a human mom and a baby on it? No, I didn’t think so.

You know when the plagues came on Egypt God often gave them an abundance of that which they worshipped or treasured most. In our case, bats – maybe not bats specifically but what they represent – worship of the creation over the creator. Animals over children. I wouldn’t be at all surprised then if we saw a surge in the Corona virus right around the time this coin is released.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Well, I think that is about it for this post. I have much more to say and God willing will follow this up with a part 2 and perhaps even a part 3 depending on where we are at and what is happening.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my work. It’s really a combination of effort by those who are watching, studying and praying. None of us do it alone. The Lord leads and guides as he sees fit. I think he finds joy in watching us pull all the threads together. A special thanks to my two daughters Seven Stars and Pix for their love, support and endless ideas and suggestions that keep me going. The insight these two young ladies possess sometimes blows me away and I am proud to be their mom. And last but not least, my husband who is my greatest encourager and whose faith inspires me every day.

* I came across an article today from Gary at UnSealed.org . He also has a timeline that I think you will find of interest. One of things he includes which I did not is how Brexit fits into all of this. It’s a great article and very informative. If the link does not work you can find it by googling UnSealed.org.
