2016 – The Year for Shaking

“This is what the Lord Almighty says, ‘ In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and dry land. I will shake all nations and the desired of all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Haggai 2:6-7

On July 7, 2016 a replica of Noah’s ark built to Biblical specifications opened to the public in Williamstown, Kentucky. Built by Ken Ham, it was designed to demonstrate the authenticity of the Biblical account by providing a tangible representative of what is described in the Genesis account.

It can be no accident that the number one name for boys and girls this year is Noah and Olivia. Noah which of course is the name of the man (and his family) who God saved from the world wide deluge in the book of Genesis and Olivia, which means “olive” …. and is reminiscent of the olive tree so prominent in the Bible whose fruit is harvested by the shaking of the tree and of the olive branch the dove returned with when dry land once again appeared on the earth.

“And God said, This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I  bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow now appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” Genesis 9:12-16

Yes, the wickedness of that day was so great that God had to act. So wicked had men become that God was grieved he had ever created them.

“The Lord saw how great mans wickedness on the earth had become and that every inclination  of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth and his heart was filled with pain.  So the Lord said, I will wipe mankind , whom I have created from the face of the earth –men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground and birds of the air — for I am grieved that I have made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”

It would not be hard to argue that the world is once again descending in to violence, chaos and outright wickedness. Each man doing what is right in his own eyes …..  which by its very definition is ….. PRIDE. The rainbow God designed as a symbol of his grace and his covenant now a symbol for that which God hates most …. pride …. which when you think about it is the root of all sin. Especially, when it comes to defying God’s natural order for creation. The design of men and women and the institution of marriage.

Yes, there is a great shaking coming. The effects of which by the signs of the times may well take place before the year is out. Its believed by many that Nibiru or Planet X  was the instrument God used in Noah’s time for producing the flood. A rogue planet or dwarf star that is even now (some say)  making its way back into our solar system in order to bring forth the Revelation 6:12 events.

“I watched as he opened the 6th seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll rolling up and every mountain and island was removed from its place.” Revelation 6:12-14

The olive and the olive tree are prominent figures in the Bible. These trees can often live for as much as one thousand years. As you can see from the photo at the top of the page the trunk often becomes twisted and gnarled …. reaching a circumference as much as 20 feet in diameter. In the Genesis account the waters of the flood reached a depth of 20 feet above the highest mountain allowing plenty of space for the ark to bob about on the surface of the water without becoming grounded. A fact that I find compelling for it was the olive branch the dove returned with that signaled to Noah that the waters were receding and that dry land had appeared. A symbol of God’s grace in allowing a new start.

It may be debatable but it stands to reason that the cross that Jesus was crucified on was made of olive wood. Like the pure olive oil (shaken and pressed down) that burned night and day in the Tabernacle Jesus likewise was pressed in to the wood of the cross he was nailed to in order that (like the ark) he could be lifted above his creation in order that our salvation might be secured.

I hope if nothing else that you take away from this article the sobering fact that there is a great shaking coming.  As the Bible declares, every mountain and every island will be moved from its place. The world of Noah’s day scoffed ….. until the rains came … .just as people today will scoff ….. until places like my beloved Hawaii disappear in to the depths of the sea …..

I believe with my whole heart that God has allowed Ken Ham to create the most accurate representation of the ark ever made – for our day and for our time. This is a reality check.  For all scoffers, all nay sayers – every one who wants to (by virtue of television and media)  can now see that the Biblical account is true. That the ark was a reality and more than capable of doing what it was designed for …. the survival of 8 people and the preservation of all living creatures necessary for repopulating the earth after it was destroyed.. It is not a myth, it is not a fairy tale. It is real. And testifies to the truth of the Bible and the reality of the shaking and the judgment that is ahead.

“First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is the coming he promised? Ever since our Fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:3-7

As the Bible says “today is the day of salvation”. Jesus is the only ark of safety for what is ahead. If you have never received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can do so now. Just repeat this simple prayer – believing and trusting with a sincere heart that it will be heard and accepted by the Father.

“Father, I come to you in Jesus name. And I confess to you that I am a sinner. I have tried to do things my way all of my life but I now turn my life over to you. I ask by the power of the Holy Spirit that you come in to my life and change me so that I might be conformed to your image not mine. I ask Father by your grace and mercy and by the precious blood of Jesus to save me and to forgive me for all my sin. In Jesus name, Amen!”

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6

Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy
