Dark Skies – Part 3 of 8

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”  Hebrew 4:13

MISSING TIME

One of the central elements to stories such as Travis Walton in the 1970’s and Barney and Betty Hill in the early 1960’s is the element of missing time.  A period of time that simply cannot be accounted for.  For some reason the conscious mind shuts off or shut’s down memories that are either too terrible to be recalled or are not intended to be revealed.

It was not until several years later, the early 1980’s that the second piece of the puzzle that was May 1975 fell into place with the emergence of a stunning and previously forgotten memory.

BREAKTHROUGH

The memory of this strange and disturbing night in 1975 lay dormant for a long time. It didn’t make any sense and for a Christian it was almost impossible to know where to categorize it. It was during the early 1980’s that I came across a book authored by Ray Fowler titled “Casebook of a UFO Investigator” in which he documents UFO encounters that include missing time.  There it was again …. missing time.  And, while it was unknown at the time whether the night in 1975 was UFO related or not it certainly seemed that it could be. A phone call to Mr. Fowler confirmed my suspicion.

*For those of you who have surmised from the story so far that the experience is mine, it is not. Yet, it is. This is the experience of someone close to me, someone I love. And, while the experience itself is not mine, the story and the aftermath that surround it are. And, with the permission of the one to whom it initially occurred, it is mine for the telling.

Following the phone call to Mr. Fowler, a new and even more disturbing piece of the puzzle fell in to place. And, when the shoe dropped, it became almost certain that there was much more to this story than we had ever expected.

“I can’t believe what had just happened. This is crazy. How could I have possibly heard my name, my full name – not once but twice. I need to regain my composure. I’m going to pull my car to the side of the road and rest for a few minutes”.

Once the car was stopped and then re-started, one would only need to pull directly back on to the highway to continue the direction it had been traveling.

Why, then does your memory tell you that instead of pulling directly back on to the road  as you normally would do – you first had to drive across a via duct coming from the opposite direction to get back to the side of the road to where you had previously been.  Which begs the question –

How in God’s good name did you get from one side of the road to the other without remembering it and where had you been in order to get there?

This became then the haunting and driving question that just had to be answered.. But, the answer when revealed was more than expected.  More terrifying and unsettling – (and perhaps farther reaching in scope) than we could ever have imagined.

to be continued ….

  1. Surely God neither sleeps nor slumbers but watches over those that are his.
God Bless you. Thank you for posting.

  2. Our experiences can really affect what we think we are seeing or hearing.
As a young and a soldier, (I have never shared this story publicly but believe these experiences may shed some light for those willing to hear), I had radio watch for my battalion which was engaged in a training exercise. At about 11 pm I received a transmission that a flash flood had occurred and one of our vehicles had been turned over and was in a flooded creek bed upside down with about 8-12 individuals inside. I had to relay radio transmissions to the rear and help was on the way. After several hours things were righted and they were returning. I had not been able to relieve myself for quite some time. I left the vehicle to do that in the middle of this stormy weather and without any lights went behind the vehicle. While engaged in my activity I felt what seemed like a bony hand come down on my shoulder. Let me say that at that moment I unleashed, with the help of adrenaline, with all my strength and fury on this “individual”. Being very rattled and quite frankly scared beyond measure went back to the vehicle and made the decision to get a flashlight which is way beyond what is allowed. Came out to find this aggressor. It was a low hanging limb of an oak tree and the wind was causing it to move up and down. What I thought was happening was very different than what was really happening.
Our thoughts about what is happening are not always formed by just what we see and hear. We can imagine as well that is why scripture tells us:

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

    5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We can anticipate so much trouble that we start turn things into it. Casting down every imagination.

Despite all the evil terrible things that are coming the elect are able to by faith and the will of God, do great things that the enemy can do nothing, but blat about it.
My (unsaved) parents told me of an experience that they had that they believe they saw a “UFO”.
I told them if the enemy could make himself appear as an angel of light he could pull up in a UFO to do it.

    • Thanks Jeff for writing and for sharing your story. You make a good point – indeed, things are often not as they seem. Sometimes there is a simple and rational explanation — but, sometimes there is not. Many are unaware of the spiritual battle raging around us. The unseen realm spilling over into the seen with increasing frequency in these last days. We can be assured that the enemy is pulling out all stops at this late date in an attempt to reach their goals. Lies, deceit and manipulation are the tools they use to dupe a spiritually naïve and unsuspecting population. But, by the grace of God, we know who they are and they will be exposed. Their power lies only in our keeping silent. Cindy
