All Things New

It’s early Monday morning and the sun has just risen over the beautiful southwestern desert. Yes, I am officially no longer “by the sea” at least physically though not in heart.

As most of us know moving is a grueling process and a big move such as one from Hawaii to the mainland is especially so. But, the Lord saw me through it and has blessed me immeasurably in the process

I am packing today for a three week trip to Israel where I will be serving as a volunteer working along side a hundred or so others from all-round the world helping local farmers in the autumn harvest. In this case, we will be working in the vineyards. Our goal in doing so simply to be a blessing to the people of the land. I would appreciate it if you would keep me and all the others who will be working in the harvest in prayer.

And, while I am no longer officially “cindybythesea,” I will still be blogging under this same name on my return hopefully on a more regular basis.

a more regular basis once I get settled.

In the meantime, love and blessings to you all. And, “pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee”. Psalm 122:6

  1. Wow Cindy, I had no idea you were moving. That is a significant move. I thought our move of 1800 miles was big but you are the winner. I am in the southwest desert also…Arizona in the high desert. Maybe we are neighbors?

I will pray for you and the fellow travelers journeying to Israel. That will be a blessing to you and the peoples of Israel. I wish I was joining you.

[Thanks Jane! I think we are neighbors as I am in New Mexico. I apologize for the incomplete line at the end of today’s post. I am writing in an unfamiliar format. Try as I may, it just won’t come off. Oh well. I think you all get the gist. I wish too you could join me for this incredible adventure. I will have much to share with you on my return. C]

  2. She who dwells in the secret place of the most high will abide in the shadow of the almighty; she will say to the Lord, my fortress and my refuge; my God in whom I trust. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler; for He will cover you with His pinions and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness is a shield and a buckler; you will not fear the terror of the night; nor the arrow that flies by day; nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noon day. A thousand may fall at your side; ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you; you will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most high, your habitation; there shall no evil befall you; neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.

May your travel in the shadow of the most high and under the pinions of the Almighty in this trip to a dangerous land, Cindy. He, alone, will keep you safe. I pray that you will bring Him much glory.
