“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, ‘Babylon, the great is fallen, is fallen and is become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”‘ Revelation 18:2
On September 11, 2001, the twin towers of the World Trade Center suddenly and unexpectedly came crashing down. Eleven years later, on September 30, 2011, two Giant Sequoia’s (towers of another kind) also, came suddenly and unexpectedly crashing down.
I’ve been thinking about this since my last post. And, if the falling of the towers represents judgment, (as some believe), then, that same judgment, or warning of – extends now, from “sea to shining sea” as the twin towers of the World Trade center were on the East Coast and the Sequoia’s are on the West Coast.
The Bible has a lot to say about trees and although, the twin towers were not trees, per se; more steel, brick and concrete, than wood, as buildings, they could still, symbolically, be viewed, as wood.
The Bible says in Matthew 7:19, that a tree that does not bear good fruit should be “cut down and thrown in to the fire”, for a tree that does not bear good fruit, is of no use. Once it becomes nothing but, a habitation for pesky and destructive birds, it has lost its usefulness to the owner and there is nothing left to be done, except, to hew it down and throw it into the fire.
The country (and the world), has changed vastly since that terrible day in September 2001. With the advent of the internet, wickedness and perversion of every kind has spread exponentially. Our children are no longer safe, in or out of the womb and are often victims of physical and sexual abuse, and even murder at the hands of people they trust.
It’s interesting, when you think about the crystal skulls which have recently toured the country. The Mayans were experts in victimizing children and its all too apparent, that the spirits they hope to awaken are more than accustomed to the taste of young blood.
Yes, this once great country has become a habitation for demons and a haunt for every unclean bird.
The Penn State sex abuse scandal this week is a good example. So much, for the Penn State athletics program motto: Success with honor. http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/10/opinion/queen-penn-state-ethics/?hpt=us_c1
Sadly, stories like these have become much too common.
I’ll end today, by thanking all of you for the many great comments made on my last post. I am blown away by the amount of knowledge and insight so many of you have been blessed with. Thank you, so much, for taking the time to share. If any of you are not taking the time to read the comments, you are missing out! And, if you have not already done so, please, take the time to write. If you have something to share that would bless the rest of us, we would love to hear it!
Also, as an adjunct to today’s post, please, check out, this fine article by friend and fellow blogger, Carlos regarding 1/11/11 – another date that was high on the watch list. I think you will find it very interesting!

God is gracious, patient, and kind, with a word He could justly destroy any man. But He gives us days filled with warnings and opportunities to repent and find salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. What incredible kindness. However though He is infinity merciful, He is also infinitely just and true to His Word. The thought that America is a type of Mystery Babylon as recorded in Revelation, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Hosea should send anyone to repentant prayer.
Ezekiel 16:26-32, Revelation 17:1-3, Jeremiah 3:1-25
God promises judgment, but He also promises deliverance.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr 7:14
There is still time…
Hosea 2:11 “I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her Sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

Dear Cindy,
Today being 11/11/11, a date many watchers have been focused on for some time, I think it wise to remember that God’s purpose does not always show itself on a particular day, but rather only after the day has passed and believers put events into context.
I pray that events do occur today that will give us context and hope to His coming. I am starting to believe that the Catholics have it right, in that, they strive to live in Grace everyday so that when He does retur they are found faithful. I am tired of date watching. I find that the constant dis appointment wears me down. Not in the sense of deminished faith but of my energy for living here in time and space. I feel it in my bones that we are close but the tug of earthlylife is also demanding my attention.
I know that I am not alone in this. So, I pray that we are given encouragement to continue in our watching and praying for His return.
YBIC,

[Thanks DR, I think you have expressed something that a lot of people may be feeling. While we are watching and waiting, we have our lives to live, our families to care for and the ministry of the gospel as God has given each one of us. I found this article posted on the Anakypto forum Homework page (letters from listeners) today to be one that really spoke to my heart ( in a round about way) in regard to this. –
http://www.rogershermansociety.org/fivedoves/anzac007.htm.
It seems there are two extremes, being so busy watching dates that we become ineffective in what God has called us to or being so busy living the good life (that most American Christians experience) that we become salt, which has lost its savor.
The article on homelessness really struck a cord with me, as we have a large number of homeless here. Getting out among people, who are destitute both physically and spiritually is a reality check for me that helps me keep things in focus as I watch and wait for the soon return of Jesus.
Blessings brother and thanks for writing! C

Were not going to see the Rapture of the Church coming, it will be a total surprise. But what we can see coming is a period called the Tribulation. I think November 11th was very significant in context.
November 11th 2011, a plan calling for the division of Jerusalem was submitted to the UN Security Council, calling for an international vote of defiance against the Covenant of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (still pending outcome)
But like Cindy said, as the sun shines the day demands our labor.
Keep looking up
Mike

Cindy,
Just a small tidbit……..
As I was reading down your latest post about how far our country has fallen morally I started thinking about the Penn State scandal, only to find a few verses later you mentioned the scandal and a link. (I thought this was a little bizarre from my point of view) Anyway, along with me (today) be focused on 11’s and Penn State football my mind kept going to goalposts……….. goalposts to me look like 11’s.
I was thinking that the goalposts represent the narrow path that the ball has to be kicked in order to score. And they could represent the narrow path spoken of in Matthew that we have to stay on in order for us to score our eternal salvation.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many that go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
The path seems to get narrower with each passing day or is in direct proportion to the evil that is escalating around this country.

Thanks Cindy,
Since the spiritual realm is unseen, manifesting itself in the material, the significance of many 11 numbers yesterday probably happened without our human limited ability to realize. Reminds me of in Rev. 8:1 when there was silence in Heaven for 1/2 hour [I’m not stating I know what this means or that it relates to now], we don’t understand that as yet. But, as time proceeds it’s as though God is ‘revealing’ more to us, that Daniel had to close the book on without understanding Dan. 12:4. For such a time as this … or now.
I thought you might like to link this interview (Steve Quayle/Omega Man) http://tickergrail.blogspot.com/2011/11/steve-quayle-gates-of-hell-crystal.html which speaks to much of your recent postings.
This interview discusses many pertinent topics in relation to God’s Scripture (Word) and things happening today – one point really caught my attention, has to do with “everlasting life”: If you consider the way certain lawless leaders are so bold and prideful (no fear of God’s Judgment) – like they’ll live forever, ‘as a god’ – It’s as though they have been “guaranteed” a clone body (new & improved) which their soul will be inserted or occupy when their present body gives up (Transhumanism / Crystal Sculls, Keys of all knowledge download).
Bro. Joseph shares in his writing http://www.parablesblog.blogspot.com/ that “all will be reconciled to Him.” The Lord provides a real “transformation” rather than man’s or demonic corrupt imitation.
God’s Grace and Love:
“Though danger lurks on every side,
In Christ our Lord we will abide;
Our God is strong, our hope is sure —
In Him alone we are secure! Fitzhugh
