Ripe for the Picking

Today, in cities around the world, people have gathered together for the express purpose of demanding change.  What that change might be and, how it will come about, seems to be anyone’s guess, a fact, that has done little to deter the proponents of this loosely organized movement, which, is sweeping the world.

Camped out in financial districts of cities around the world, people, no longer content with a world system, they view as corrupt and greedy are demanding their share of the kingdom.  The “have-nots’, hungry for what the “have’s” have, are no longer willing to sit idly by, while, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Ironically, the movement encompasses the more affluent countries, where even the poorest among us have more than the majority of the world population, who live daily in abject hunger and poverty. A fact, that seems to have escaped a movement organized by tweeting and twittering

What we need they say, is change. What we need to do, they say, is evolve. But, if evolution is what they are looking for, they are in for a bitter disappointment, as no evolution is possible without revolution first. And, revolution, as history has demonstrated seldom turns out well.

For the past two thousand years, the message of the gospel has been preached, “the kingdom of heaven is at hand”.  Jesus has already told us, what history has demonstrated, the kingdoms of this world will not and cannot deliver to us what we need.

Today, while some are camped out on Wall Street, others have erected small temporary shelters in their backyards in accordance with the Biblical mandate to dwell in booths for seven days during the feast of Tabernacles. A symbol of the Messianic Kingdom, the booths (Sukkah’s) are a reminder that we are not to become too comfortable or too attached to this world on our journey to the promised land.  As believers, we have a King and a Kingdom, which is not of this world.

The feast of Tabernacles was the last major feast that Jesus would observe before he went to the cross at Passover in the final year of his ministry. And, as his ministry neared its end, people came face to face with a choice, (just like they are today) the King and his kingdom or the kingdom of man.

In 2008, the man, who would be king campaigned on the promise of change. And, while he has failed in some ways to deliver on that promise, in other ways, he has been wildly successful. And, in the course of three short years, the slogan, he campaigned on for the Presidency (change) has now, become a mantra for the masses around the world, the fact, of which, I am sure, he is acutely aware of.

The world is clamoring for a kingdom and for every kingdom, there is a king. The world is ripe for the picking and it won’t be long before someone taking notice will cease the opportunity. Take note, the sum total of the numbers for today’s date, 15-10-11 are 9. And, 9 is the biblical number for judgment.

The Israelites insisted they wanted a King and were given Saul. The world wants a king and they, too, will receive one. Change is coming, yes, it is.  Stay alert, keep your oil burning and keep looking up  – for the real King, Jesus is coming soon!

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6  Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy

  1. From the Word of God, Cindy,

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[h]

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”[i]

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Now there is change you can believe in!

[Amen! Thank you, Mark! C ]

  2. You lost me on this one Cindy how does that calculate?
Take note, the sum total of the numbers for today’s date, 15-10-11 are 9. And, 9 is the biblical number for judgment.

[Hi Jeff, 1+5+1+1+1=9 or, 15+ 10+ 11 = 36 3+6 =9 if, that is what you are asking. Numbers aside, the days are dwindling down for choosing, which king and which kingdom a person wants. It was telling to me that the demonstrations and the Feast of Tabernacles should coincide on the same date and that the sum total of the numbers should be 9. Hope that helps, C]

    • OOOOOOOhhhhhhhhh.

  3. Glad you brought this up Cindy.

[Thank you and thank you for the link. This movement is gaining momentum and is troublesome at best. A number of people interviewed in one clip all claimed to be socialists ( and, I wondered where they had been, when world history was being taught) and on another site, the Nazi party was there putting their vile anti-semitic spin on things. May we be wise as serpents and innocent of doves; God grant us the wisdom we need to discern the times in which we live! C]

  5. Hey Cindy, did you see this over on Art’s blog? It’s pretty neat and geographically near to you 🙂

[Thanks Jay for posting, I had not seen it yet. Yes, Pastor JD is a phenomenal Bible teacher and a very sweet and humble man. We are very blessed to have him here in the islands. I’ve heard him speak several times and met him once at joint Calvary Chapel functions. It’s exciting to see how the Lord is using him beyond our little island here. C]

    • Very good video, I recommend this to anyone who has not seen it.

Jack Kinsella also has a very good article worth reading, concerning the reason for the Psalm 83 war.

      • Not only will the prophecy Art mentions about Damascus being taken away as a city come to pass but so has the prophecy he mentions about Egypt is and will contiue to come to pass, as he says, verbatim in Isaiah 19. There is a prophecy in the book of Ezekiel 29 concerning Egypt in which neither people nor animals will be able to inhabit Egypt for a period of 40 years. If a nuclear weapon hits the Anwar Dam in Egypt it would flood the land and make it uninhabitable for that length of time, since the decay rate of radiation takes 40 years for it to dissipate.

      • “Radiation” not an element, it is a process, a manner in which energy emanates from a decaying particle. Rate of decay depends on the radioactive isotopes in question. Some isotopes decay in moments, others in minutes, others in hours, others in days. Some do not decay for years, decades, or even centuries.

      • Jack Kelly has an interesting take on the 40 years, in which people and animals will not be able to travel in Egypt.

  6. This posting is very interesting, Cindy. What a vile evil spirit is behind OWS! If the protestors get more ‘stuff’ from the rich, will they be happy? No, because ‘more’ will never be ‘enough’. They will always see someone who seems to have more than they, and they will always be discontented. We all know people like that. It’s a curse.

It reminds me of being on a message board a few years ago and being shocked about something. There were people who wanted Christians to be raptured so they could then walk in and claim their ‘stuff’!! That they thought would being happiness but was such an evil, distorted way of thinking. They would change their mind quickly if they had to live in a completely lawless, satan-inspired world where every depraved act would be ok. What good would the ‘stuff’ do then for them then?? God help them!!

  7. Hi Cindy,
