Psalm 111, 112 – the curtain opens

“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright”  Psalm 112:4

Yesterday, we discussed how Psalms 111-119 are acrostic Psalms, which encompass within them the Hallel; Psalms 113-118. Psalms 111 & 112 bracket one side of the Hallel with Psalm 119, the longest Psalm and the longest chapter in the Bible on the other.

I believe these Psalms speak specifically to Israel and the time of Jacob’s trouble, and perhaps, to us as believers, in the days preceding the rapture. And, if this is the case, what can we learn and what might we expect?

Six months in to the year, we all know that the dominant question in American and International politics is the situation in the middle-East.  For the past two years, pressure has been mounting on Israel for the creation of a Palestinian State with a divided Jerusalem as its capital.

But, the Bible makes it very clear that this is not the will of God. In fact, verses 5 & 9 of the 111th Psalm seem to correspond to the months of this present year, when, the pressure on Israel has been and will be the greatest (May and September).

“He provides food for those who fear him, he remembers his covenant forever”  Psalm 111:5

“He provided redemption for his people, he ordained his covenant forever.”  Psalm 111:9

He provides and he provided. God supplies us with what we need today, our redemption has already been settled. And, his covenant stands forever.

Important thoughts for holding on to as we move into the remainder of the year.

The 111th Psalm leaves us with these final words of advice –

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all who follow his precepts have good understanding, To him belongs eternal praise.”  Psalm 111:10

On June 15, a blood-red moon will appear over Israel. A lunar eclipse which will last a full 100 minutes and is bracketed on either side by a partial solar eclipse on June 1 and one on July 1. Both, unusual in nature as the first one was visible only in the far northern regions of the globe and was a partial occlusion of the midnight sun and the one on July 1, visible only in the far regions of the southern hemisphere, where most likely it will only be witnessed by penguins, seals and of course, the eyes of God.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43365523/ns/technology_and_science-space/

I’m not sure why, the lunar eclipse of June 15 is bracketed by a solar eclipse on each side except to say, that perhaps, if it is a sign, the indication would be, that it is global in scope, in other words – top to bottom.

Psalm 112 and the year 2012

2012, we saw the movie, we’ve heard the hype – but, is it really true?

The closer we get to the coming year, the greater the talk and the greater the speculation will be on what the coming year might bring.  Will there really be disasters of unparalleled proportion or will there be a shift in consciousness as New Agers would have us believe.

The Psalmist opens up the 112th Psalm with these words –

“Praise the Lord!  Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who find great delight in his commands”.

A thought echoed in Proverbs 1:7   –” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but, fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

Proverbs 3, goes on to extol the benefits of wisdom –

“My son preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or the ruin that overtakes the wicked. For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.” Proverbs 3: 21-26

2012 will be the year for sudden disaster and an unsuspecting world will be taken as in a snare. But, for those who are saved during this time; those who have the seal of God on their foreheads, these will be incredible words of comfort.

If Psalms 109 and 110, set the stage for the final seven years, then, Psalms 111 and 112 provide the opening curtain to the first act.

Psalm 112

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright. ….. Surely, he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end, he will look in triumph on his foes.”  Psalm 112:4-8.

On the other hand –  “The wicked man will see and be vexed; he will gnash his teeth and waste away, the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.”

For those wondering what 2012 will bring, by all appearances, the coming year will not disappoint.  The truth of what lies ahead will be lost to some degree by the soothsayers, the New Agers, the Mayan proponents and all the others, who will seek to benefit and profit off the hype leading in to the next year. For most people, it will be a time of both skepticism and fear, but, the wise, they will understand.

What God begins in the 110th Psalm, he brings to a conclusion in the 118th.

Psalm 110:1  “The Lord says to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”.    Psalm 112:8 – “ … he will look in triumph on his foes”   Psalm 118:7 – “I will look in triumph on my enemies”

What He promises in the 110th Psalm, he carries out in the 112th and brings to a conclusion in the 118th.  How cool is that!

In other words, the process is already underway. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus friends;  we’re going home soon!

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee”  Psalm 122:6  Watching and waiting with YOU for the soon return of Jesus! Cindy

  1. Blessings Cindy,

“I’m not sure why, the lunar eclipse of June 15 is bracketed by a solar eclipse on each side except to say, that perhaps, if it is a sign, the indication would be, that it is global in scope, in other words – top to bottom.”

That brought to my mind quotation marks, they highlight whats in the middle. OK, Here I go again…

    The celestial menorah effect…

People are wondering about the rarity of the June 15th elipse, it is a centerpiece and it is a rare event.

If you look at my paper Jacobs Trouble ( http://www.scribd.com/doc/47989669/Jacobs-Trouble ) , you will see the patterns defined perfectly June 15th 2011 is the center of nine eclipses, in between is the 2014-2015 Jewish Tetrad in the center of eight eclipses, July 27th 2018 is the center of nine eclipses, the three series overlap by 30 days like sticks tied together.

But I need to add this caution for looking for something to happen on the eclipse date. If you look at the history of Jewish Tetrads ( http://www.redmoonrapture.com ) you will find that the eclipse patterns are indicative but not coincident to significant event dates, so be patient and watch.

The sets of three lunar and four solar eclipses also make a pattern of seven with both June-15-2011 and July-27-2018 in the middle, -870 -340 -177 | +177 +340 +870. http://www.scribd.com/doc/55879708/Signs-2010v15

    •-870 Days, 26 January 2009, Solar Eclipse
    •-340 Days, 10 July 2010, Solar Eclipse
    •-177 Days, 20 December 2010, Lunar Eclipse
    • ~~~~ 15 June 2011, Central Lunar Eclipse
    •+177 Days, 09 December 2011, Lunar Eclipse
    •+340 Days, 20 May 2012, Solar Eclipse
    •+870 Days, 01 November 2013, Solar Eclipse

    •-870 Days, 09 March 2016, Solar Eclipse
    •-340 Days, 21 August 2017, Solar Eclipse
    •-177 Days, 31 January 2018, Lunar Eclipse

    •+340 Days, 2 July 2019, Solar Eclipse

God places signs in the heavens and upon the earth, we can only observe, and respond in humility and obedience.

    Michael

[Thank you again for sharing your insights with us and I agree, it is the patterns that are important rather than any single event in and of itself. Humbly and patiently watching, Cindy]

    • Cindy,

I think it was Jay who suggested this site
      http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFuelProject#p/u/77/cqH4t8mOuzg

There is a “Jewish” holiday coming up in July called the Fast of Tammuz, I was surprised to find out what that really meant.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammuz

Beginning with the summer solstice came a time of mourning in the Ancient Near East, as in the Aegean: the Babylonians marked the decline in daylight hours and the onset of killing summer heat and drought the month Tammuz

These mourning ceremonies were observed even at the very door of the Temple in Jerusalem to the horror of the Israelite prophet Ezekiel, whose Biblical prophecy expresses Yahweh’s anger at His people’s apostate worship of idols:
      —–

“Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto to me, ‘Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.” —Ezekiel 8:14-15

[Thanks Michael, this looks like a very interesting video, unfortunately, I had a hard time viewing it. Others may not have that problem, so, I encourage every one to check it out. C]

  2. Shalom Cindy by the Sea,

Blessings to you in Yahshua’s Holy Name!

Thank you for writing to me and thanking me for creating my new Tribulation Time Line, which is based on many years of research. I am truly glad that it has blessed you, and I hope it will bless many other people too!

As shown in that Time Line and my books and articles, I have been referencing the powerful prophetic knowledge locked away in the Hallel Psalms 110 through 119 since the beginning of my online ministry in 1998, and I was the first person to write about the fact that I believe that the Hallel Psalms traditionally read in Jewish liturgy are tied to the Tribulation period.

Have you read the work I did concerning these Psalms? I have a book excerpt from my book “The Language of God in Prophecy” in PDF format available at my Pillar of Enoch Ministry web site that discusses the prophecies in the Psalms. This may be of interest to you and your readers. I also wanted to note that you ignored Psalm 108, which is really the prelude psalm to the Hallel Psalms and sets the stage for the Tribulation and what disputes it will be centered around, which are all tied to the right of Israel to exist by divine decree.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, I am the only Prophecy teacher that has ever focused on this Psalm as a key prophetic work. You can read my understanding of this key Psalm as a PDF excerpt at my POEM web site. It was taken from the same ground-breaking book I mentioned earlier, which contains some of my most important revelations in the area of prophecy.

In closing, I’d like to thank you for all your hard work in sharing the truth of God’s Word and how it relates to the world we live in today.

    Your Sister in Yahshua,
    Helena Lehman

[Sister Helena, I am very honored to have you stop by and write. There is so much to glean from your studies, I hope everyone will take the time to go to your website and check out the phenomenal work you have done. Thank you too for pointing out that Psalm 108 should have been included in my studies. I may do a little back tracking to get it included.Thank you again for stopping by, may God continue to bless you and Pillar of Enoch Ministry, Grace and blessings! C]

  3. Hello Cindy,
Really enjoying your writings! Esp. how these things relate to today!
Thanks for posting those shows yesterday too, very helpful.

I hope this fits in with your posting in connection with the Spirit of Wisdom. It’s Pentecost today and I thought you might appreciate this recognition of the Holy Spirit –

    With Thanks,

[Very beautiful DC, thanks so much for sharing! Reminds me of how many millions of people there are out there, who are never really seen but, by the eyes of God. Come Holy Spirit, Come, minister in the way that only you can! C]

    • … about the last link – patheos – I’m not in total agreement with her doctrine. But the prayer for the Holy Spirit to “refresh and revive”; to make free those who are in bondage and blind. Didn’t mean any distraction. Sorry & Thanks!

  4. Cindy- thank you so much for your time and for putting together this wonderful blog. I really look forward to your writings. I have some off topic Q’s for you. I was wondering what you suggest a family man or woman do to prepare for natural and man made disasters? Do you store food or water? Would you suggest a gun for hunting and/or self defense. I have been preparing by doing such things and have mixed feelings at times about what God would have me do. I not sure if I should rely solely on God to provide and I believe Jesus says we shouldn’t store things up here on earth and that God would take care of us like he takes care of the birds on earth. On the other hand I feel driven to be able to provide for my wife and children. If you have time could you share your feelings on the storing food, gas, generators, ammo. I respect your opinion and thank you for your time.

    Andrew
[Hi Andrew, I’m so glad you took the time to write and I am very humbled that you would value my opinion. The questions you ask are good ones. I’m not sure how others would answer your question, but, you ask me and this is what I think.

Andrew, I think it makes sense to store up a reasonable amount of food and water. Every generation has had to do this with the exception of this generation, which has become dependent of the local grocery store for all of our needs. My grandmother canned fruits, vegetables and meats. She made preserves and stored apples, potatoes and carrots in her root cellar. This was common practice.

Our food supply could be diminished, cut-off or unaffordable at any time – and living on an island this is particularly true. I don’t have a lot of extra money but, I try to keep at least 3 months ahead. Some people do more and that’s fine, but, I think the key is to not become obsessive about it. Trust God!

As far as a weapon is concerned – funny you should ask, because my daughter just called me the other day and ask what I thought about her buying my son in law a hunting rifle for his birthday. (Could double for personal protection if necessary). My son in law is a retired marine and certainly knows how to handle a weapon safely. I told her I thought it was a good idea. Should food become scarce, it might come in handy. As for me, I know nothing about guns and don’t feel inclined to learn, but, for a man as head of his household, I think for the protection and safety of his family, its fine. Pray to God you would never have to use it and maybe the threat of it alone would be enough to get some one to back away if they threatened you harm.

The key again, I think is -reasonableness. You don’t need an arsenal, you don’t need to stock pile weapons. But, don’t feel like there is anything wrong with going back to how our forefathers lived just a generation or so ago. That’s my take – hope it helps. Whatever you decide, the Holy Spirit will lead you. Grace and blessings! Cindy]

  5. Cindy, excellent work as always. This is a great series you have started, and perfect timing!

I actually checked back on this post, which I had also read earlier, to let your readers know that, in addition to J.R. Church’s fine work on these Psalms, Helena Lehman has also written extensively on the topic. I’ve read her work, and it is excellent.

Helena, since you have already posted, I should take the opportunity to thank you as well for your outstanding contributions to our understanding of these Psalms. Furthermore, I should let you know (as well as the readers) that I also find your knowledge of the Gospel in the stars to represent a unique and essential “piece of the puzzle” towards our grasp of the meaning of end times events we are witnessing, as well as those which are yet to come.

Cindy, I can hardly wait to see what you have to say about Psalm 113; I’m seeing so many “indicators” for the year 2013!

Blessings to you, sister Cindy, and many thanks . . .

    Carlos
[Carlos, you are such a wonderful encourager, thank you so much and of course, any thoughts you have to share on the topic would be more than welcome! C]
