the rock that cannot be moved

Image: Barack Obama, Benjamin Netanyahu

There’s no mistaking body language. President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu are at an impasse. The frustration of both men clearly etched on their faces. The larger framed Netanyahu, the rock that cannot be moved against the smaller framed Obama – physical opposites when you consider the tiny state of Israel against the nations of the world, but, spiritually equivalent, when you consider it will be the God of Israel who will fight on their behalf of the Jewish people and win.

In the last couple of days, two amazing things have happened. Real time Bible prophecy has been fulfilled and all the world is talking. Who would have believed that “the rapture” and the issue of Jerusalem would share headlines on the very same day.  And, while the rapture as prophesied by Harold Camping is turning out to be a non-event, the timing of it is not.

People are talking about these issues.  People who have never heard the word rapture before are using it in full sentences.  At work, at the hair salon, in the grocery store – every where!  First thing this morning as I sat down in the hairdressers chair, my hairdresser had no more than clipped the plastic drape around my neck, when she said, “have you heard about the rapture, do you think its going to happen today?”  And, as far as I know, my hairdresser is not a Christian, her usual topic, the latest on American Idol or Dancing with the Stars as she snips away at my unruly locks. Topics I have little or no interest in as I never watch these programs.

But, today was different. Today, she initiated a conversation that led to a spiritual discussion and I was able to share a little bit with her about what the Bible really says, and that was amazing!

The media has created a circus out of Harold Camping and his predictions, but, that is only half the story. What we haven’t heard about are the quiet conversations that have taken place one on one; conversations that a week or two weeks ago, may never have been possible.

The Bible tells us that all things work together for good and as misguided as Harold Camping may be, wouldn’t it be just like God to bring the issue of the rapture to the forefront before it actually happens?  I for one, welcomed the opportunity to hear a change in conversation from the usual tabloid patter that keeps people so pre-occupied that they are unable to see what is really happening in the world around them.

Most people have no idea why the middle-East is such a big deal.  Aside from the threat of terrorism and the price of gas at the pump, most people have only a vague idea why any or this matters.  It’s so much easier to just stay distracted.  Anything that threatens to shake us out of our complacency or rock our boat, is not welcome.

When the issue over Jerusalem begins to threaten our status quo, a great out-cry will be heard and Israel, the rock that cannot be moved will be hated by everyone; and most, if not all, will believe that if not for the stubborn Jews, world peace might be achieved.

President Obama and the other nations as represented by the Quartet and the UN have set out upon a course which will lead to disaster.  The road upon which they have set leads to one place and one place only – the valley of Meggido. And, it’s a very short road.

Friends, in the last few days, God has provided opportunities for sharing the message of his soon coming in ways we had never expected. Tonight, LA Marzulli will be on the very popular night-time radio talk program Coast to Coast and he will be discussing the issue of the rapture with talk show host George Noory.  Please take a few minutes to pray for him, I know he would appreciate it. May God speak through him by the power of the Holy Spirit regarding the real truth of the rapture and the hope that is found in the soon coming of Jesus Christ.

Romans 9:33

“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall,
and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[m]

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee” Psalm 122:6    Waiting and watching with YOU for the soon return of Jesus!  Cindy

  1. Sabbath Peace !

When Jesus said; in Matthew 23:38 “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”, He withdrew from the temple never to return.

When on the cross, at the very moment He breathed His last breath, the temple curtain was rent from top to bottom, exposing to the view of all, the once very sacred precinct of The Most Holy Place, signifying that the presence of God had forever departed from the Jewish Nation. They had divorced themselves from God and were no longer His “chosen people”. That was an eternal decree on the part of God. A new and living way was opened to all nations; any man, woman, youth, child, may come to God without priest or ruler ! The nation of Israel, will be attacked in the very near future by the “King of The North” ((see Daniel 11: 40 – 45)). “The King of The North”, is the Papal Power. It is not just a “New World Order”, but it is “The Papal New World Order”.

Working with the “Elite” Jewish Apsotates of the Rothchilds, Rockerfellers, the so called ; “Builderberger” group, The Vatican is at the present, weakening the Arab States and has the various tribes and factions involved in civil war, which is preparing the way for a vicious attack by the “Papal New World Order” upon all these countries. Millions are going to die. God will not deliver the Jews. Israel will be invaded and fall ; never to rise again !

“The King of The North” – “The Papacy”,will not succeed in his effort to control the world. At that very time when this battle described for us in Daniel 11: 40 – 45 is reaching the pinnicale of apparent success in its effort of world control, the scenes of Daniel 12 take place and God’s Faithful of all nations will be delivered by the sudden and glorious return of Jesus Christ ! Nothing “silent” or “secret” about Christ’s return, “every eye shall see Him” (Revelation 1: 7)

    Behold His Amazing Grace !

    In His Love,

    Rich and Joyce

[Hi Rich and Joyce, I appreciate you taking the time to write, although I have to respectfully disagree. You quoted Matthew 23:38, but, you did not finish the passage. Verse 39, goes on to say, “Therefore, I tell you (Israel), you will not see me again until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’.” At the battle of Armageddon with no where else to turn, Israel will turn to their Messiah. This is clearly foretold in Zechariah 12:10 and 13:1 “They will look on me, the one they have pierced and mourn as one mourns for an only son” … On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from impurity.”

Replacement theology is repugnant to the heart and theme of scripture. As Gentiles we have been grafted in (Romans 11) but, the church has not and never will replace Israel. When the church age closes with the rapture, seven years of tribulation will bring God’s focus squarely back on his covenant people. And, yes, at the end of the tribulation Jesus will return for every eye to see when he sets his feet upon the Mt of Olives. If God should break his promise to his covenant people, what assurance do we have that he would not break his promises to us. May it never be so! And, please, no rebuttals, replacement theology is not up for debate at Cindy by the Sea. C]

  3. Thank you Cindy for exposing replacement theology. Ezekiel talks about how the world will hang on to the robes of the Jews in the Millenium (because of their “double portion”).

Those of us watching for the “rapture” “the hiding away” have been labeled as “fringe” lunatics! Camping brought the issue to the forefront. If the Lord should come very soon – won’t it leave many with open mouths!

  5. Cindy, your post always bring a smile or an AMEN!, to my heart and thoughts.
Just want to add a reminder I came across in church Sunday, John 13:34-35 “A NEW commandment I give you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” As the chapters move on, I notice Jesus continues to stress the importance of loving one another. It made me think of the resent criticism and attack on the incorrect Harold Camping’s rapture date setting. I did not read Harold’s postings to be perfectly honest. I didn’t really care because I don’t believe in date setting actually and I look for the rapture EVERY day. It just saddens me to hear fellow believers so critical, condemning, and unloving as far as the world sees. We are so divided and though we can’t always agree, we should try to remain loving towards one another. Your posts are genuine, warm and compassionate – thank you

[ Thank you T, I really appreciate your encouragement and your more than kind words. I think Mr. Camping made a mistake by date setting, but, you have to give him this – people all over the world heard about the rapture and the coming judgment of God. Can’t say that I’ve done as much to warn people. Grace and blessings to you and your family! And, thanks again for writing! C]

  6. Cindy,

Thank you for keeping pace and sharing God’s word, your posts are refreshing.

    Blessings
    Michael

[ Thanks Michael for always taking the time to keep me encouraged. I really appreciate it! C]

  7. The rock that cannot be moved… How interesting that today (as one of my readers noted) the president’s limo got stuck on what amounts to a rock, trying to flee an air full of powdered rock from the Icelandic volcano. One is reminded of Exodus 14:25.

[ Thanks Art, I saw the same photos this morning and thought it was hilarious! I love it! C]

    The Rapture
When I was raised a Catholic in New Orleans I wasn’t taught anything about a “rapture”, of course I wasn’t taught much about the Bible either. Then, when I was 27 I committed my life to the Lord and began going to Bible studies taught by people who had graduated from Dallas Theological Cemetery (yes, that is a play on words) and going to Bible churches. They all taught that we would be raptured out of here before the Great Seven Year Tribulation Period began. I remember so many people who used to tell me that they were “waiting for the Rapture”. They all believed that they would not be going through the Tribulation. They were all lied to.

The Rapture doctrine is a lie. The Bible promises that some of us will, in the last days, be persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, sawn in two and put to death – HE THAT ENDURES TO THE END WILL BE SAVED.

Rev 6: 9-11 – When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been. – Verse 11 clearly states that many brethren will be killed during this time.

Rev 7:9-17 – 9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. 16 ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” – I don’t know how much clearer God can make it that we will not be raptured before the Tribulation.

Rev 2: 10 – Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

Rev 13: 5-10 – The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear 10 “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.”This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

Rev 14:12-13 – This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.

Many of us who are living today will be going through the Great Tribulation. Many will be persecuted, imprisoned beheaded and put to death in horrible ways. Many of us living today will be here to see Jesus’ return. I believe that once the USA, the most powerful nation on earth and Israel’s defender, is destroyed then the Great Tribulation will begin. This nation’s destruction will begin in earnest next year, although we could see major catastrophes happen this year as well. When will the USA’s destruction be complete? Probably in 2013.

Yes, we are that close. that is why it is imperative that you develop a close. personal relationship with the Lord NOW. If you delay, it will be too late.

[ Hi Cliff, Obviously, there is disagreement on the subject of the rapture as there are a number of scriptures that can be used to support both points of view. To call it “a lie” seems a little bit over the top to me, but, I thank you for sharing your viewpoint. C]
