On Tuesday March 8, residents of Redondo Beach, CA woke to the incredible sight and over-whelming stench of hundreds of thousands of dead fish (primarily sardines) choking their local harbor. No one was exactly sure at the time as to what had caused their demise, but, it would be just one in a series of odd and similar events involving bird and fish deaths since the beginning of the year. Three days after the King Harbor incident a powerful and deadly earthquake struck the Honshu region of Japan killing thousands of people and leaving millions more displaced and in danger of radioactive fallout. Coincidence? As most of you know, I like word studies and often find interesting connections to events through words. So I googled the word Sardines. Sardines to me, were the bony little fish my dad used to take in his lunch every now and then. Dripping in mustard sauce and oil, he would place them on a cracker, eating them right out of the can. He thought they were a fine treat and often tried to convince me of the same, needless to say, to this day, I remain unconvinced! Anyway, beyond “sardines in a can”, I didn’t know much! And, still don’t – for as soon as I went to Wikipedia, the first thing I read about sardines is that their name originated with the Mediterranean island of Sardis. After reading that, I knew I need read no further. I had found what I was looking for. Jesus had written a letter to the church at Sardis. All I wanted to do now, was read what he had said.
Revelation chapter 3:
To the Angel of the church of Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds and you have a reputation of being alive, but, you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of God. Remember what you have received and heard; obey it and repent. But, if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief and you will not know at what time I will come to you. You have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me dressed in white for they are worthy. He who overcomes will like them be dressed in white, I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear ….”
Dead fish (Sardines) – King Harbor – Sendai (Sin-die ????) Makes one think, doesn’t it? Could it be that Jesus has given us a message in a fish to awaken us to our spiritual condition?
This Saturday March 19 will be a Supermoon. There are some that think this cosmic event could trigger another earthquake, volcanic activity or other natural disasters. According to a geologist interviewed by Neal Cavuto on Fox News, this may very well be the case. As you will see from the video, the Chilean earthquake, the New Zealand earthquake and the Japan earthquake progress around what is known as the Pacific Ring of Fire – if the pattern continues as follows, the Pacific West Coast could likely be the next region hit by a big quake. If that should happen, the devastation would be unthinkable. Bear in mind the March 11 earthquake in Japan came exactly one year after Japan badgered Israel in regard to the settlements on the West Bank and March 19 comes just about one full year as well from the verbal lashing Hillary Clinton gave Prime Minister Netanyahu over the same issue. In my opinion, the time for serious repentance is now! There may not be much time left.

7. Ruth left her home to follow Naomi to Bethlehem.

“Sendai (Sin-die ????)”
Apparently Sendai means “a thousand generations” used biblically in 1st Chron 16:15, Psalm 105:8, Deut 7:9) and has to do with a Buddhist temple that used to be located there.

The passage that Jay referenced in his comment 1 chronicles 16:15 actually falls in the midst of a Psalm of David’s as follows:

AN URGENT MESSAGE
I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.
AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE – EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.
For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.
There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,
“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).
God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.
The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12).
In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)…fire…burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because the Lord is righteous” (v. 7). This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of Sodom and in Noah’s generation.
WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?
First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. If possible lay in store a thirty-day supply of non-perishable food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.
As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).
I will say to my soul: No need to run…no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.
Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off. I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.

“THE LORD IS IN HIS HOLY TEMPLE, THE LORD’S THRONE IS IN HEAVEN HIS EYES BEHOLD, HIS EYELIDS TEST THE SONS OF MEN….VS 7 HE LOVES THE RIGHTEOUS THE UPRIGHT SHALL BEHOLD HIS FACE” That’s enough to trust in Him and praise Him for!! He is our refuge and defense!
