Yesterday afternoon as dark clouds gathered over Oahu, Governor Neil Abercrombie signed in to law (at approx. 2:00 p.m) Hawaii’s civil unions bill making Hawaii the 7th state in the nation to accept what is nothing less than marriage between two members of the same-sex. And, while it’s not known exactly what time ink met paper making it official, it would be an almost exact 24 hours later (2:12 p.m.) that Oahu would experience the shaking and shuddering of a 3.6 magnitude earthquake.
Earthquakes, of course are not unknown in this part of the world, but, are more commonly experienced off the shores of the big island of Hawaii where the volcano Kilauea is located. Earthquakes that can be felt on Oahu are much more rare. And, while I did not feel the earthquake myself this afternoon, I can say this, “I was not surprised.” As no doubt, many of you would not have been either, for those of us who have been watching the past few months have began to recognize that events such as this one (the signing of the civil unions bill) often do not go without comment in one way or another by what is known by many would term as “an act of God.”
After hearing about the earthquake, one of my co-workers on looking out the window at the dark storm clouds that continued to loom overhead today as if in afterthought to yesterdays events, commented – “it looks like earthquake weather to me.” Earthquake weather indeed! And, while looming storm clouds have little to do with the shifting of tectonic plates, decisions such as the one made yesterday do. Time and again, history has shown that some decisions are of such gravity, such import, that once made, they become tsunami like in nature. And, like a tsunami, their incredible destructive power is never fully realized until it is too late, appearing in the beginning as a mere ripple across the water.
Yesterday Governor Abercrombie was suffering a cold and subsequent ear infection yet was not deterred from making state history by turning out to sign the civil unions bill in to law. At the same time, a flash flood advisory was issued as heavy rain and lightning made its way across the island.
Interestingly, lightning struck the steeple of a church on the Windward side late yesterday afternoon blowing a hole in its steeple. Thankfully, no one at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church was hurt. But, I couldn’t help but take notice of the name of the church – Mt. Carmel – wondering if it could mean anything … . strangely reminiscent in theme I think – fire and lightning – to a post done by Art over at New Wineskins on the Mt. Carmel fires in Israel some time back. I googled Lady of Mount Carmel and found the following information from Wikipedia. Because it is late and I have to work in the morning, I won’t have time to explore all of the possible implications, so, I’ll leave that to those of you who have the time and inclination to do so. Summing it up I would say that in my opinion today’s earthquake is a warning. A merciful warning that when God is removed from our personal lives and our civil laws, we can no longer expect either his hand of blessing or his hand of restraint in preventing man-made or natural disasters. Therefore, the choice is ours. I hope the people of Hawaii are listening.

On the surface a lot of things look a certain way, but underneath they are of something different. A lot of things have come into the scope of Christianity. I cringe at what is often being done with Mary the mother of JESUS. Upon looking at this link there is a lot of things that are attached to it, and one of them is elevating or deifying Mary.
This is what JESUS the had to say about that in Luke chapter 11.
27 And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”
28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
It is interesting what he goes on to say in verse 29 and following.

I have had the same concerns about this false Mary for a long time and wrote the below text a few months back trying to alert people to the scam the Roman Catholic Church has perpetrated on their flock. I pray this false unbiblical Mary worship does not cost millions their salvation.

Now lets see what completely unbiblical and blasphemous details the RCC has created for Mary the earthly mother of God throughout the centuries turning her into this “false Mary” for the benefit of the RCC.
1)In 1854 Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Immaculate Conception of Mary meaning she was born without sin. There is nothing in God’s word to substantiate this and it was dreamt up by RCC.
2) The RCC teaches the “Perpetual Virginity of Mary” saying that she was a virgin before, during and after the birth of Jesus. Nowhere is this found in God’s word . RCC made it up. In fact God’s word says Jesus had siblings born to Mary. His brother James for one example. Matthew 1:24 talks about Joseph not having any sexual relations with her “until” after Jesus was born.
3) The RCC declared in 1950 by Pope Pius XII “The Assumption of Mary” that she was raptured or ascended into heaven. Absolutely nothing to back this up in God’s word. Made up by RCC
4) The RCC declared Mary as “The Mother of All Christians”, the mother of all believers. Absolutely unbiblical—dreamt up by RCC.
5) The RCC declared Mary is “The Mediatrix” and that she intercedes for all believers between them and God when the bible very clearly states in 1Timothy 2:5 and 1 John 2:1 that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between men and God the Father. Again the RCC merely made this up with no biblical foundation for their actions.
6) The RCC in 1922 under Pope Benedict XV declared Mary to be “The Co-Redemptrix” meaning that she gets co-credit for the redemption of man’s sins that Jesus paid for on the cross. Completely unbiblical—complete blasphemy. Conjured up by RCC
7) The RCC has declared Mary to be “Queen of Heaven”. That she has risen to a level of divinity with our triune Godhead. Not biblical and absolutely baseless fabrication and blasphemy on the part of RCC.
8) And to go along with #7 the RCC has declared Mary to be “The Mother of God” not just His earthly mother but also His heavenly mother. Complete blasphemy again dreamt up by RCC.

Cindy, John and Jeff: Great words of truth. Queen of Heaven is referenced in the Bible (OT) to be a false idol and many were worshipping her way back then!
The Lord is revealing the context of “Virgin Mary” as the Catholics worship her. It starts with the symbol of the phallic (as in Washington DC)! This is actually a symbol of both sex organs – the nephilim – who were fallen angels. Angels are both male and female. They have both male and female sex organs. Nephilim have been reproducing strongly since WWII. I personally believe it can be traced back to Queen Elizabeth “Mary” – the Queen of Heaven (Hell). The nephilim is the race that Hitler was trying to recreate. The “Orient Express – as in Tom Hanks children’s movie !!” – is a reference to the creation of nephilim going forward without our knowledge or consent (in secret in the dark rooms). They have both sex organs and can reproduce without sex outside of their own bodies = nephilim. They are made in the image of satan – total lawlessness – soul-less creatures. They are called “reptilians” because they can reproduce like many species: reptiles, bees, crocodiles (which is why they love dragons – crocodiles – bees [as on the pope’s robe and his beehive hat] symbols)! Bees also make sounds many have attested that they have heard close to openings to the Underworld (hell).
Our church steeples are a representation of the Phallic symbol!! So when lightning struck the one in the article above – it is a symbol that God is making this known to His saints – the true meaning of this symbol has been hidden from us.
The purebloods – the elite – are nephilim! They are (in their own eyes) the “wise” – those with a third eye (ESP – channelling – etc.) straight from fallen angels – total lawlessness – children of Cain. (the Bush family – the Queen of England – where America was formed from and on and on it goes.)
Two nights ago (I believe on Grey’s anatomy) the theme was a young lady had both sex organs and “could choose” what sex she wanted to be! They want us to believe that this is an anomaly – normal. NOT TRUE!!!! They are nephilim – moon children – lawless in school – can’t be controlled – pure evil – no soul because they have been created in the image of satan.

Hawaii State Senator Clayton Hee was one of the primary advocates of the Civil Unions bill. If I recall, on one of the local newscasts , he was photographed smiling and to celebrate its passage, kissed the top of Governor Abercrombie’s head at the bill signing ceremony. It was meant to be a funny and light-hearted moment but I think this particular moment was an affront to God and He has another perception of this matter. The Lady of the Mt. Carmel church where lightning struck its steeple is located in the 23rd Senatorial District. Guess who represents the 23rd District? Senator Hee.

Kissing the top of his head? Abercrombie may not realize it, but that sounds like a kind of false/imitation/satanic anointing(!) (The name Abercrombie means ‘crooked river’, btw…)
E.g., see 1st Sam 10:1 — Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his [Saul’s] head and kissed him and said, “Has not the LORD anointed you to be prince over his people Israel?…”
In combination with the earthquake (opening in the ground = pit) I’m also reminded of Psalm 7:
14 Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. 15 He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. 16 His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.

Our GOD is calling to his people and will destroy those who reject him and his beloved son JESUS whom he sent.

This is just “trivial” but, when I first read your post the other day, it brought to mind the earthquake in Mt. Carmel, IL a while back (2008??). But this morning, really thought of your story because just before a devastating storm hit the St. Louis region last night, we felt the earth move from some quake in Arkansas. The first was a 4.7 at 11pm, then 3.8 about 11:18pm then the storm moved in and went crazy. Since this post is called to mind so soon, going to reread it and think/pray on it today.

Cindy, after reading many of your insightful post on the rich symbolism that we are seeing these days, I came across a post regarding another recent animal die off: this time it’s bald eagles. Vancouver Island Bald Eagles Are “Falling From the Sky”

This immediately struck me as being symbolic of how the US (represented by eagles) is ‘dying’ before our very eyes. To me, this eagle die off is very significant, just as the earthquake in Christchurch was symbolic of Christ trying to ‘shake his church awake’ on things to come as these days get darker. I couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe this eagle thing could be warning us of more than just where the US is headed, so I looked up “eagles” in the bible, and came across a reference in Obadiah. (I have been reading lately on John McTernan’s web blog about the coming Obadiah/Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 battles, so when I saw this reference about the eagles it got my attention!) Many believe that Psalm 83 & Isaiah 17 are next. Something has to occur to give Israel the ability to live in the center of the land without walls and feel secure. (In Ezekiel, it says Israel will be attacked when it is living securely in the land.) I’ve read that the valley Gog is buried in is currently a part of Jordan, but Ezekiel says this valley is a part of Israel, so something has to occur before Ezekiel 38 & 39 that gives Israel more land, and a false sense of security. Psalm 83 & Isaiah 17 answers these questions. The book of Obadiah is also thought to refer to this battle and how Israel will expands it’s borders into Jordan as a result. From what I can tell, modern day “Edom” is regarded as the territories of Edom, Moab, and Ammon and represents modern day Jordan.
So could the eagles be a harbinger that this battle is fast approaching?
I found this reference to the eagle in the book of Obadiah:

The Coming Judgment on Edom
1 The vision of Obadiah.
Thus says the Lord GOD concerning Edom
(We have heard a report from the LORD,
And a messenger has been sent among the nations, saying,

**I looked up the Land of the Canaanites: Cannan is an ancient term for a region roughly corresponding to present-day Israel/Palestine including the West Bank, western Jordan, southern and coastal Syria and Lebanon continuing up to the border of modern Turkey.

[ Hi Susan, Very interesting! Thanks for writing and sharing the article about the eagles. As I read the article, I was struck by the fact that the Eagles were not only starving but, were diseased and parasite ridden from eating out of garbage dumps. Alot like the present state of our nation I’d say! Weak from a parasitic government and a populace to busy feeding on garbage to care, – not hard to see the symbolism there – no doubt, like these poor diseased birds, we are on our way down. Not quite sure how it ties in with the passage from Obadiah, but, pride seems to be a key factor. Blessings and thanks again for writing and for your encouragement! C ]

Our Lord is speaking to the people of earth through the earthquakes and volcanoes, there are no coincidences, but the people are still not hearing. He will speak louder, soon. I did a little study on the voice of God and share the following to make this point:
Psa 114:7-8 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a fountain of waters.
Nah 1:3-6 Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty: Jehovah hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
