Almond Blossoms
“The word of the Lord came to me, What do you see Jeremiah? I see the branch of an almond tree, I replied. The Lord said to me, You have seen correctly , for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled”. Jeremiah 1:11-12
If there was ever a time for watching its now! Not only are we watching for the soon return of Jesus but the Lord himself is watching to see that his word is fulfilled. A comforting promise in these turbulent times for nothing escapes his view or is beyond his grasp.
A few years ago, I wrote a post titled “Awaken and Watch, the blossoming of the Almond Tree”. I will repost it here as the information is as fresh and pertinent as ever as once again it is the season for almonds and almond trees in Israel are currently now in bloom. When we study Bible prophecy, we understand that God uses agricultural metaphors in a number of ways which provide important information in understanding God’s prophetic plan and where we are on God’s prophetic timetable.
